University of York Jiu Jitsu Club Training times 2025/26:

🥋Saturday 9:00-11:00 University of York Sport Centre - Main Hall

Jitsu is a martial art based on the traditional styles of Jiu Jitsu that originated and developed in medieval Japan. The core of the art comprises a system of throws, joint locks and strikes. Based on the principal of using an aggressor's energy to their own disadvantage, Jitsu skills can be used by men, women and children to counter aggressive situations ranging from unwanted harassment to armed physical assault.

Our end of year social is taking place this Sunday June 7th! Come join us for dinner at Spark, offering a variety of cuisines, and then for drinks at Valhalla where we will be in All Father Hall. This is a great opportunity to spend time with your clubmates before the summer. Feel free to message if you have any questions.
