Holidays… 🍹✈️

A few of my clients have holidays coming up and while they should be excited, many are feeling anxious instead.

They’re worried about gaining weight.
Worried about “undoing” their progress.
Worried they’ll lose control like they alway do around food.

And honestly… I get it.
I used to feel the exact same way. I’d spend the whole trip stressing over every meal, every drink, every little change I saw in my body and completely miss the joy of the experience.

But things changed when I found true balance with food.
Now I can go away, enjoy myself, and not feel guilty.

Here’s what I always remind my clients:
Even if your progress slows down for a week or two, that’s the worst that’ll happen. And in the grand scheme of your journey, that’s nothing.

You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to be mindful.

A few tips to help you enjoy without stressing:
• Prioritise a good protein source with each meal
• Eat mindfully stop when you’re satisfied, not stuffed
• Stay hydrated (yes, water still matters even on holiday!)
• Choose spirits with low cal mixers if you’re drinking
• Get your steps in when you can think walks on the beach, exploring new places

Remember: holidays are meant to be fun. It’s totally normal to eat and drink a little more. That doesn’t mean you’ve failed it means you’re living.

Relax. Enjoy. You’ve got this.

For a very long time, I believed progress was only possible if you executed the plan perfectly.

It’s taken me a long time to realise that you don’t need to be perfect you just need to be consistent.

Are you the person who eats a little over their calories and then throws in the towel for the rest of the day?

I used to be exactly the same.

The truth is, one meal, one snack, or one day doesn’t ruin your progress. What matters is what you do next.

Holiday prep is going well 😅🫣🤣

A lot of people look at a meal like this and think they’ve completely ruined their progress.

One meal doesn’t ruin your results. It might just slow things down a little.

If you’re currently in a calorie deficit, a meal like this probably isn’t going to fit within your daily calories. That’s finebut you have a choice.

✅ Accept that the scale may spike up tomorrow and that you might lose a couple of days of your deficit. Meaning you’ll need to tag a few more days on to your dieting phase.

OR

✅ Make some smarter choices….
• Choose one course instead of two or three
• Drink water instead of high calorie drinks
• Get some extra movement into your day
• Be mindful of your portions

There are plenty of ways to enjoy eating out and still stay on track with your goals.

I’m a fat loss coach, and tonight I’m having a very high calorie meal. That’s my choice, and I’m ok with it I don’t eat like this every day!

Fat loss isn’t about being perfect. It’s about understanding the choices you’re making and the impact they have.

Enjoy the meal. Enjoy the occasion. Then get back to your normal routine tomorrow xx

Very easy chicken and leek risotto 🐔

Only 390 calories per portion

I used quick cook risotto rice which made it super speedy.

Ingredients in the pic below served three at 390 calories each…. Could have fed four people 🤭

We’re building those good habits week by week nothing complicated, just consistency.

This week we’re keeping it fun with press ups in random places 😂
Because fat loss doesn’t have to be boring… it just has to be consistent.

Tips for Hitting Your Goals 💪

A couple of simple habits that can make a huge difference….

✅ Repeat your meals – It makes life so much easier. Less decision making, less guesswork, and more consistency.

✅ Pre-log your food – I say this all the time, and I know most people don’t do it, but honestly, it’s one of the biggest game changers for getting results. Planning your food ahead of time helps you stay on track and avoid making decisions when you’re hungry.

Success doesn’t come from being perfect it comes from making the right choices consistently.

No one cares what you’re eating or drinking….

It’s true.

If you’re choosing to eat better, drink less, lose weight, or simply look after yourself, do it for YOU.

The people encouraging you to “just have the pudding” or “one more glass of wine won’t hurt” usually aren’t thinking about your goals. They’re thinking about making themselves feel more comfortable with their own choices.

Your progress doesn’t need their approval.

You don’t need to justify why you’re skipping dessert.
You don’t need to explain why you’re choosing water.
You don’t need permission to prioritise your health.

The people who genuinely support you will respect your decisions.

The people who don’t…. Their opinion doesn’t burn your calories, improve your health, or help you reach your goals.

Stay focused.

Because six months from now, you’ll be glad you stuck to your goals not glad you kept everyone else happy.
