Holidays… 🍹✈️
A few of my clients have holidays coming up and while they should be excited, many are feeling anxious instead.
They’re worried about gaining weight.
Worried about “undoing” their progress.
Worried they’ll lose control like they alway do around food.
And honestly… I get it.
I used to feel the exact same way. I’d spend the whole trip stressing over every meal, every drink, every little change I saw in my body and completely miss the joy of the experience.
But things changed when I found true balance with food.
Now I can go away, enjoy myself, and not feel guilty.
Here’s what I always remind my clients:
Even if your progress slows down for a week or two, that’s the worst that’ll happen. And in the grand scheme of your journey, that’s nothing.
You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to be mindful.
A few tips to help you enjoy without stressing:
• Prioritise a good protein source with each meal
• Eat mindfully stop when you’re satisfied, not stuffed
• Stay hydrated (yes, water still matters even on holiday!)
• Choose spirits with low cal mixers if you’re drinking
• Get your steps in when you can think walks on the beach, exploring new places
Remember: holidays are meant to be fun. It’s totally normal to eat and drink a little more. That doesn’t mean you’ve failed it means you’re living.
