To any of my forces pals, even if you aren’t ready to compete, go have a look and see what’s possible. Strongman/woman isn’t the stereotype you think it is. I am super excited to be helping out with this as I spent 4 years of my career based at Imphal and it’s an honour to be asked to be part of it. Building bridges between communities and being able to give back to the forces and the sport what a winner. Please can you share the hell out of this as you probably have some connect in the forces whoever you are. Many thanks.

Check your messages if your being coached.

If the conditions are like today you won’t be doing outside events, or if you feel you really must, the shutter gets closed behind you.

Had many people complaining the shutter has stayed open, the staff have been told that is the policy.

It’s also not wise to do moving events in icy conditions, non of us are getting paid to do this sport 👍🏼

3 COACHING SPOTS AVAILABLE. So I’m not just a strongman coach, I am a multi discipline coach which is why my plans are adaptable to your personal needs and goals. I do weekly plan changes, reason being is people cannot progress every week consistently, sometimes there’s issues so I like constant feedback to ensure your making the progress you deserve. Over 20 years experience as a qualified PT I also offer for free with my plans ADVICE on nutrition and supplements/peds if your that way inclined. Majority of the time I will@be on hand comp day to guide you through. What you don’t get with me is bu****it, I don’t do lies, I won’t blow smoke up your arse or blow your insta up. If that’s what your after kindly jog the f**k on. I’m 💯 dedicated to whoever I coach and go above and beyond especially for the £50 a month I charge. Why so cheap I do it because I love it and want everyone to be safe and make gains while doing so. EVENTS FIRST TIMERS LOG FTOH 80kg DEADLIFT 180 60s FARMERS 80 PER HAND 40m YOKE 225 20m TOP 4 in STONE TENNIS OVER 53” YOKE 90ish kg NOVICE LOG 90kg FTOH DEADLIFT 220kg FOR REPS 60s FARMERS 100 PER HAND 40m YOKE 265 20m STONE TENNIS 115kg ish INTERS LOG 110kg DEADS 250kg FARMERS 120kg per hand YOKE 300 20m STONE TENNIS 140ish. OPEN WOMEN LOG 60kg DEADS 150kg FARMERS 40m 70 per hand YOKE 165ish 20m STONE TENNIS 70ish any chalk permitted, no deadlift suits are the only rules. I WILL NOT BE CHANGING THE WEIGHTS THIS IS A STRENGTH SPORT NOT CROSSFIT. ALL DEADLIFTS WILL BE ON TEXAS STIFF BAR.

WEST YORKSHIRE STRENGTH CLASSIC PROVISIONAL DATE 24/9/2023 all events are same as last year. LOG FOR REPS, DEADLIFT FOR REPS, YOKE 20m FARMERS 40m and the STONE OFF. No price increase as per usual £30 entry fee. FIRST TIMERS,NOVICE,INTERS AND OPEN WOMEN. Usual rules no suits for deadlift. FOR ANYONE AND EVERYONE WE WILL BE HAVING A MAX DEADLIFT AND MAX LOG EVENT. NO CHARGE JUST AN OPPORTUNITY FOR ANYONE THATS MISSED A COMP TO FINISH THE YEAR ON A HIGH. Any equipment allowed only rule NO SUMO. We will have some festive snacks and drink as a bit of a nice way to welcome xmas. Both events will be rising bar until last man/woman standing you can skip lifts should you like. If your interested comment in box so we can figure how to run. I’m thinking one platform for males and one for females as I have 2 identical setups. AIM TO START AT 11am. Might be a prize for nominated/voted lifter of the day.

Ok so not a perfect comp as it stands. Apologies to .a_123 and completely on my shoulders as I didn’t give Ben chance to review the womens scores. He had double checked the mens however because I had the womens one in my had he didn’t get chance so please blame me. What this means is actually came 2nd today and .a_123 came 3rd. Please accept my apologies it’s a lesson learnt.
