☘ FULL TIME RESULT | York Shamrocks 0-2 Redcar Newmarket ☘
The lads tasted defeat yesterday in the County Cup as we hosted high flying Redcar Newmarket who have scored 23 in their first 3 league games locally.
We knew it was going to be a tough afternoon with several key players missing and us having played a very demanding fixture on Tuesday vs Tadcaster. We lacked any real quality or composure throughout in what was a very scrappy affair but full credit to the lads for battling non stop and keeping it a cagey affair which on another day could have swung our way but yesterday Redcar deserved the win overall.
We dust ourselves off and prepare now for our first league fixture next week vs Ripon City.
Thank you to Redcar Newmarket and hopefully everyone had a safe journey home. We appreciate you staying afterwards for food and a drink! Good luck for the rest of your season and in the next round! ☘

We host Redcar Newmarket FC in some County Cup action today at home. Our visitors look to have had a flying start in their league campaign with ours yet to start so we're expecting a very stiff challenge today but one we welcome!

☘ FULL TIME RESULT | Tadcaster Magnets 1-3 York Shamrocks ☘
We finish our preseason with another win away against a very tough, organised and ball playing Tadcaster Magnets side. Full credit to the lads for showcasing a very disciplined, organised and efficient performance limits our opponents to very few opportunities over the 90 minutes and looking dangerous going forward consistently.
Thank you to Tadcaster for hosting us on a fantastic surface with such great facilities, it's obvious after such experiences why they've had the success they've had. All the best for the season.
The real stuff starts for us now on Saturday in the form of a HOME tie in the County Cup vs Redcar Newmarket FC. Get down and support the lads if possible! ☘

We’re looking for part-time staff to join the team at the club, with weekend and evening work available!

If you’re friendly, enthusiastic and enjoy working in a fun, busy environment, we’d love to hear from you!

What the job involves:

🍻 Bar work — experience is great, but full training can be provided.

🔑 Opening and closing the club and working shifts independently when required.

🧹 Helping with cleaning and tidying, particularly after functions and events

⚽ Helping teams and visitors where possible

🙌 Getting stuck in wherever needed and helping keep things running smoothly

There’s always plenty going on at the club, from functions and private events to sports events and match days.

We believe in having fun at work and enjoying shifts, so you’ll definitely need to be able to have a laugh!

We’re also looking for people who are proactive, hardworking and use their initiative — we want staff who can see what needs doing and get on with it without always having to be asked. If you’re the kind of person who likes to be useful, gets stuck in and works well as part of a team, you’ll fit right in!

☘ FULL TIME RESULT | York Shamrocks 3-0 Thorpe United Res ☘
Another dominant performance as we stepped in yesterday evening with less than a day's notice, travelling away to Selby after Thorpe's opponents let them down.
Full credit to the lads for embracing the challenge at such short notice, and there were some fantastic passages of attacking play on show in particular but also another very pleasing clean sheet.
It's possibly been our best preseason to date, not just because of the results but because of the progress we've made with each game regardless of the score line. Sadly we did pick up an injury to one of our engines and hope we recovers as soon as possible! 💚

We can host at New Earswick Sports & Social Club with a fantastic surface, bar and changing rooms all on site and will consider any opponent.
