🚀 Exciting News: New U8s Girls’ Futsal Group Launching in York!
Bootham Girls’ Futsal Club – York is thrilled to announce the launch of a brand-new U8s girls-only futsal group, starting in September 2026!
This is a fantastic opportunity for young girls to discover, learn, and fall in love with the game in a fun, safe, and supportive indoor environment.
Sessions will be delivered by our team of DBS-checked, highly qualified UEFA B futsal coaches, supported by coaches with first aid qualifications and the highest level of FA safeguarding certification. Parents can be confident that their daughters will be learning in a positive environment focused on enjoyment, confidence, teamwork, and player development.
The new U8s group builds on the incredible success of Bootham Girls’ & Ladies’ Futsal Club’s existing pathway, which has helped develop players from U10s through to U16s, with academy players progressing into England Development squads, Ladies National League football, and our successful FA Just Play open-age ladies’ sessions.

Futsal is FIFA’s official version of indoor 5-a-side football and is played by millions of players worldwide. It develops incredible skills, creativity, confidence, decision-making, and a real love for the game. Last year saw the first-ever Women’s Futsal World Cup held in the Philippines, showing just how quickly the women’s game continues to grow.”
