A tough afternoon at home, with the final score Ynysddu BG RFC 7–27 Merched CRCC

Credit where it’s due, both teams played out of their socks and left absolutely everything on the pitch. 💪🏼🔥

There were some big moments throughout the game, and while a few decisions didn’t always feel like they went our way but that’s rugby. We’ll take the lessons, keep our heads up and come back stronger. ❤️🖤

The wait is over… tomorrow we’re finally back on the pitch! 🥹

After months of sunshine, solid pitches and plenty of hard work, we’ve had the rain we were waiting for and now it’s time to get stuck into the new season! 🌧️😂

We’re kicking things off at home against CRCC, and the girls are ready to go. Bring the energy, bring the noise and let’s make our first game one to remember! 🔥

After months of sunshine, solid pitches and wondering when the rain was ever going to show up… we’ve finally had some proper Welsh weather and we’re ready to start the season! 😂🌧️

Our first game of the season is here, and thanks to a reversed fixture, we’re kicking things off at home against Rygbi Merched CRCC Women's Rugby! 💃🏽

❤️🖤 NEW HEAD COACH ANNOUNCEMENT 🖤❤️

Ynysddu BG Ladies RFC are delighted to announce Julian Evanss our new Head Coach ahead of the upcoming season.

Julian brings a wealth of rugby knowledge, experience and passion to the club, along with fresh ideas and a new perspective as we continue to build on everything we’ve achieved together. We’re excited to see him lead the next chapter of Ynysddu BG Ladies RFC and can’t wait to see his vision come to life both on and off the pitch.

Julian will be supported by a strong coaching team, including Frag, who will continue coaching alongside him.

We’re excited for what this partnership can bring and believe it gives us the perfect blend of fresh ideas, continuity and experience as we look ahead to the new season.

Some people coach a team.

Some people build a family.

For the past 12 years, has been at the heart of Ynysddu BG Ladies RFC. Every season we’ve called Ynysddu BG home, he’s been there giving up his time, sharing his knowledge, believing in every player who’s pulled on our shirt, and helping shape this club into what it is today.

There have been promotions, cup runs, unforgettable wins, tough losses, tours and countless memories along the way. Through it all, one thing has never changed Frag’s passion for this club and the people in it.

This season, Frag has chosen to step back from the role of Head Coach, but thankfully, he’s not going anywhere. We’re delighted he’ll continue as part of our coaching team, meaning his experience, support and commitment will remain a huge part of everything we do.

From every player, coach, volunteer and supporter past and present thank you.

Thank you for every training session.
Thank you for every match day.
Thank you for driving the Sunshine Bus all over the country.
Thank you for fixing our cars when they decided to fall apart.
Thank you for always being at the end of the phone whenever one of us needed a hand.
Thank you for the laughs, the advice, the occasional bollocking, fat joke and for always putting this team first.

But most of all…

Thank you for being our team dad. ❤️🖤

Quite simply, Ynysddu BG Ladies RFC wouldn’t be where it is today without you. You’ve helped build more than just a rugby team you’ve built a family.
