🌟 Students of the Month – May 2026 🌟

Normally, we recognise just one Student of the Month each month. However, in May we felt that two students deserved special recognition for demonstrating exactly what martial arts is all about — having the courage to step outside your comfort zone.

🥋 DBN recently completed his first National Black Belt Grading as part of his journey towards 1st Dahn Black Belt. As if that wasn’t enough of a challenge, he also entered his very first tournament. Both experiences required determination, commitment, and the willingness to face nerves head-on.

🥋 JKN is already a Black Belt but took on a challenge of a different kind. After a break of several years from competition, they stepped back onto the tournament floor to compete in their first ever Black Belt division. It takes real courage to return and test yourself against experienced competitors.

What links both students is not medals, scores, or results.

It is their willingness to challenge themselves, embrace uncertainty, and keep moving forward despite the butterflies.

That mindset is what martial arts training is all about.

Congratulations to both of our May 2026 Students of the Month. We are incredibly proud of you both. 👏
