Member of the Month –

A massive congratulations to Josie on being named our most recent Member of the Month!

She’s been in the running since early February and has been consistently mentioned by multiple coaches.

This time, though, it was impossible to look past her.

We asked Josie a little about her, here is her answers.

What do you do? Principal Auditor (Internal Audit)

Age 33

Fitness/sporting background - I’ve always been active - I started with taekwondo reaching second dan black belt at 16 🥋then running, walking, netball, commercial gyms/classes.

Why BMB Fitness?
I’ve always struggled to find a gym I’ve felt truly comfortable in and got the buzz for, which I think many women can relate with. I then fell out of love with running after having my two children and needed low impact/strength training to compliment the management of my PCOS. I didn’t know how I’d make time for myself to exercise and enjoy it but BMB offers every option possible making exercise and being a working mum manageable. The supportive and knowledgable coaches are amazing and the community is incredible, I genuinely love BMB and am addicted - which I never thought I’d say 😂

How often do you train? 4-5 times a week depending on energy/sleep and levels of FOMO 😴😂

What differences in yourself have you noticed? My strength physically but mainly mentally - I never would have seen myself choosing to turn up for 6am classes after only 3/4 hours sleep!
The self belief and confidence BMB has given me by pushing me outside my comfort zones in a fun way, I’ll always be grateful for 🥰

What are you short term goals in training?
Learn to love snatches😅 and nail overhead squats 🏋️‍♀️ as well as consistency to help with upcoming comps.

Other interests
Music, festivals, dog walking, camper vanning and adventures with my little family 🫶🏼

Words to newbies
Whilst it is challenging and can seem daunting, get involved because the addiction is real, the community is second to none and the self reward is immense 💪🏼 you won’t regret it!

Thank you Josie for being a incredible member, making our community fuller, and choosing BMB 💛🖤

Such a community 👌

Member’s of the Month – April Jason and Ethan Tucker

We are delighted to publicly champion our member's of the month, both worked incredibly hard this year and earned our MOM on their own merit.

What do you do?
Jason - HGV technician For Dorset and Wiltshire fire and rescue service
Ethan- I am a Firefighter for Dorset & Wiltshire fire and rescue service

Age –
Jason 54
Ethan 22

Fitness/sporting background
Jason -Always enjoyed sport as a kid and played most sports mainly rugby In the army again would have a go at most sports but played rugby and competed in tug of war at a regimental level

Ethan- I’ve always participated in some form of sport, from swimming, cross country, athletics and rugby. I joined a gym at 15 where my dad taught me to squat, bench and deadlift and have trained ever since then

Why BMB Fitness?
Jason -I was struggling with training by myself and realised i really missed the group training I been used to in the army BMB helped me get back my love for fitness
Ethan Once I got accepted into the fire service I knew i needed to do more cardio and get fitter. I also got really bored and unmotivated training on my own I knew training in a group environment would bring my motivation back which it has.

How often do you train?
Jason -3 times a week at BMB lots of walking at weekends as well
Ethan - Depending on my shifts for the week I train 2-3 times at BMB and twice at work.

What differences in yourself have you noticed?

Jason -Since starting at the BMB, I’ve noticed several positive changes in myself. Physically, I’m much fitter and stronger, and I can now perform a wide range of movements that I struggled with before. Mentally, I feel more positive and resilient. Pushing myself in training has really helped build my confidence and discipline, and I’ve developed a stronger mindset both in and out of the gym."

Ethan - I have become a lot fitter and functionally stronger which has helped massively with my job. My running has also improved a lot.

What are your short term goals in training?
Jason I’m focused on entering more competitions. I’m also aiming to improve my gymnastics skills, especially in areas where I feel there’s room for growth. This will help me stay motivated.
Ethan- To keep progressing my muscle ups and get them more consistent.

Other interests
Jason- Outside of BMB,I have a few other interests that keep me busy I like paddle boarding and walking both are great ways to relax and enjoy the outdoors. I also prioritize spending time with my family and friends which is something I deeply value. Additionally, I’m passionate about DIY projects; I find it rewarding to work with my hands.
Ethan -Djing, festivals, hiking and sea swimming

Words to newbies
Jason To anyone starting, just know that with great coaching and supportive, friendly members around you, you'll always be pushed to be your best. The encouragement and guidance you receive will help you reach new heights—trust the process and stay committed.
Ethan- If you are lacking motivation for training or nervous to start, the group classes are brilliant everyone is super friendly and encouraging

Is there anything more iconic than a father son combo, we don’t think so a huge congratulations to both and thank you for continuing to choose BMB 😊
