Fitness/sporting background
Jason -Always enjoyed sport as a kid and played most sports mainly rugby In the army again would have a go at most sports but played rugby and competed in tug of war at a regimental level
Ethan- I’ve always participated in some form of sport, from swimming, cross country, athletics and rugby. I joined a gym at 15 where my dad taught me to squat, bench and deadlift and have trained ever since then
Why BMB Fitness?
Jason -I was struggling with training by myself and realised i really missed the group training I been used to in the army BMB helped me get back my love for fitness
Ethan Once I got accepted into the fire service I knew i needed to do more cardio and get fitter. I also got really bored and unmotivated training on my own I knew training in a group environment would bring my motivation back which it has.
How often do you train?
Jason -3 times a week at BMB lots of walking at weekends as well
Ethan - Depending on my shifts for the week I train 2-3 times at BMB and twice at work.
What differences in yourself have you noticed?
Jason -Since starting at the BMB, I’ve noticed several positive changes in myself. Physically, I’m much fitter and stronger, and I can now perform a wide range of movements that I struggled with before. Mentally, I feel more positive and resilient. Pushing myself in training has really helped build my confidence and discipline, and I’ve developed a stronger mindset both in and out of the gym."
Ethan - I have become a lot fitter and functionally stronger which has helped massively with my job. My running has also improved a lot.
What are your short term goals in training?
Jason I’m focused on entering more competitions. I’m also aiming to improve my gymnastics skills, especially in areas where I feel there’s room for growth. This will help me stay motivated.
Ethan- To keep progressing my muscle ups and get them more consistent.
Other interests
Jason- Outside of BMB,I have a few other interests that keep me busy I like paddle boarding and walking both are great ways to relax and enjoy the outdoors. I also prioritize spending time with my family and friends which is something I deeply value. Additionally, I’m passionate about DIY projects; I find it rewarding to work with my hands.
Ethan -Djing, festivals, hiking and sea swimming

Ethan- If you are lacking motivation for training or nervous to start, the group classes are brilliant everyone is super friendly and encouraging
