Don't drink and drive
Today's beverage of choice is this tasty hamstring cocktail
Focus your effort on hip extension, with a hard squeeze from the glutes and hamstrings.
Starting with the plate in your hands, hit 10+ reps. Drop that down as the fatigue starts to set in and switch to the band. Once you hit failure with the band let that go and carry on with bodyweight.....just to finish off this horrendous drop set
Hamstring pump 🤯💯....ability to control the clutch when driving 🤢

I've always been a conventional lifter
I have always been more comfortable, stronger and able to push harder through a conventional deadlift
Last year I decided to switch up my training and adjusted my routine to favour sumo stance as my primary choice
Although I am still very rusty I am seeing regular improvements from session to session

This awesome single arm pulldown variation is great for lat development. Focus on pushing the elbow up and down in a reasonably straight path whilst holding you arms rotational position.
As you can see I also tend to favour an off centre seating position in order to keep the working side in line with the cable

You can never be too strong! That's like saying you ruined your diet by eating too much veg!
In every programme I write, developing a person's strength is always a main priority regardless of goal.
Why? Because ultimately it is always beneficial to do so
From improved postural awareness and core strength, developing manual handling skill and being a catalyst for building muscle mass to improvements in your metabolism.....to name a few.
This rule can be particularly beneficial to those of you who are new to weight training, yet it's impact on more experienced gym goers should never be underestimated

Your training and nutrition should gradually be a build up of all the things that have successfully impacted your body
As you progress through any training programme or bring about any change to your eating habits, you should be periodically assessing the success of those changes
If something is not having a direct positive impact to your goal try switching it out for something else
The longer you do this, the more of your personal jigsaw you complete that contains the most impactful habits your body responds to
