A good session isn’t just about what’s written on the board.

It’s knowing when to push the weight and when to pull it back.

It’s changing a movement when something doesn’t feel right.

It’s getting a bit of help with your technique.

It’s having someone notice the progress you probably haven’t noticed yourself.

And sometimes it’s just having someone there to give you the nudge to keep going.

The programme matters. But so does the coaching around it.

That’s a big part of what we want training at BMB to be. 💛🖤

What are you actually training for?

For us, training should be about more than just getting through today’s workout.

It’s about getting stronger. Building your fitness. Learning new skills. Staying capable. And having something to keep working towards.

That’s why our training is coached, progressive and built with purpose — whatever your starting point or goal.

Different goals. Different abilities. One place to keep getting better.

Get Strong. Get Fit. Stay Capable. Together. 💛🖤

🏋️ Proud to continue as a British Weight Lifting Affiliated Club for 2026 🇬🇧

For us, this is about far more than having another badge or logo.

Weightlifting has always been a big part of what we do at BMB.

For some members, that’s learning their first clean or sn**ch within our normal group sessions.

For others, it’s spending more time developing their technique, getting stronger and finding a new part of training they really enjoy.

And for some, that journey eventually leads to stepping onto a competition platform.

Our British Weight Lifting affiliation gives us a recognised pathway to support all of those people, while maintaining nationally recognised standards around coaching, safeguarding and welfare.

But importantly…

You don’t need to be a weightlifter to enjoy weightlifting.

You don’t need to compete.

You don’t need any previous experience.

It can simply be a brilliant way to build strength, learn a new skill and challenge yourself.

For us, it’s about continuing to raise our standards and giving our members opportunities to take their training as far as they want to.

From learning your first lift to your first competition — or simply getting a little stronger and moving a little better.

There’s a place for all of it at BMB. 💛🖤

Welcome to BMB Small Group PT 👋

It started with a simple question:

Can large group training really work for everyone?

We weren’t sure it could.

We love the support and enjoyment that comes from training around others. But for some people, large group training simply isn’t personal enough.

At the other end, 1-to-1 PT gives incredible individual support, but isn’t always financially sustainable long term.

We wanted to create something in between.

Personal coaching, delivered in a maximum 4-to-1 environment.

From day one, I’ve always asked myself:

Could my own parents walk into this session, train safely and make genuine progress?

Could someone completely new to exercise feel comfortable here? Could someone returning after years away build confidence? Could we work around previous injuries, limitations and the realities of getting older?

That’s what BMB Small Group PT is about.

Not smashing people into the ground.

Helping people become stronger, healthier and more resilient for the long term — improving strength, fitness, movement, nutrition and confidence in their body.

We launched just over a year ago and our belief in it has only grown.

So now we’re giving it its own home.

Welcome to BMB Small Group PT 🤍💛🤍

Member of the Month – Dan Bracher 🎉

We are proud to announce Dan as our Member of the Month for July!

Dan only joined us in April, but since day one he has always trained with conscious and deliberate intent. I remember his first Foundations session, asking what he could do to improve his mobility, asking questions about progressions and showing a clear work ethic and enjoyment of the training style.

There have already been plenty of firsts along the way. Murph, Toes to Bar, Squat Cleans, Front Squats and progressing from purple bands to sets of 3 unbanded strict pull-ups. He’s now working on his Handstand Push-Ups, continuing to build his strength and looking to improve his cardio endurance. 💪

Just over 6kg down, huge changes made for the positive

But for us as coaches, it’s about far more than just what Dan can do in the gym and those results.

It’s the small things. Partnering with someone new and helping them feel welcome. Starting conversations and connecting with others. Sharing a bar. Coming along to events. Staying after sessions to work on something he wants to improve.

He’s become a big part of our 6am crew — and often manages to beat me through the door at 5:45am! 😛

We asked Dan a little more about himself and his experience at BMB.

What do you do?
Owner of a vehicle wrapping business and an on-call firefighter.

Fitness/sporting background?
“I’ve always enjoyed mountain biking and attended gyms on and off for years, but never found true consistency and eventually fell out of love with it.”

Why BMB Fitness?
“I’d always enjoyed watching this style of training and envied how fit some people are! 😅 I love the variety of lifts, workouts and skill-based movements.

I was recommended by a friend to come and try a trial with Ben and that was it, I was hooked and down the rabbit hole.

The fact it’s all planned for you really helps too. Every session is already scheduled and planned, so all I need to do is turn up.”

How often do you train?
Four 6am BMB sessions a week, alongside some running or cycling outside the gym when he can.

What differences have you noticed?
“Everything really! My strength, flexibility and movement have been a massive change so far. I’ve also found a great sense of discipline from always training at 6am, and it’s helped me massively with my own mindset.”

What are your short-term goals?
Increase his cardio endurance, nail a few more skill-based movements and apparently start training for an event next year… 😬👀

Words to someone thinking about starting?
“Don’t fear it. If you’re nervous about joining or how it looks from the outside, don’t! The coaches and community are genuinely so welcoming and supportive — it’s a whole part of it. Nothing is ever too much for them to help or support you.

Just go for it. It’s not like conventional gyms, all whilst improving your own fitness.”

Dan has actually been nominated over the last few months, so it’s great to finally make him a very worthy Member of the Month. 👏

Dan was incredibly humble when we told him and felt like he was simply doing what was expected of him as a BMB member.

But that’s exactly why he deserves the recognition.

It isn’t about how many sessions you do or what movements you can perform. It’s the intent you bring to your training, your willingness to learn and the positive impact you have on the people around you.

Thank you for being a shining light at 6am and for helping make BMB better, Dan. 💛🖤

We can’t wait to see what you can do with the rest of the year!

For some people, 6am training works brilliantly.

For others, it just doesn’t.

Work, kids, sleep, school runs… mornings can already be busy enough.

That’s why evening training can work so well.

Finish work, come straight in and give yourself an hour before heading home.

You don’t have to think about what you’re doing.

You don’t need to plan a workout.

You don’t need to be at anyone else’s level.

Turn up, get coached, train alongside the group and get it done.

For a lot of our members, it’s become their way of switching off from the working day while still doing something positive for themselves.

If you’ve been struggling to make mornings work, maybe stop trying to force them.

Your routine might just look different.

If you’d like to experience one of our evening sessions, send us PM and we’ll help you get started 💛🖤
