Based in Yeovil, weโ€™re proud to be a friendly, family club at the heart of our community. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ–ค Our Facilities -

Our clubhouse has two lounges. The main lounge is a large, bright and airy room which can be setup for dinners, dinner dances, discos and bands or just a plain old get together for a large number. The main lounge offers a versatile space which can be set up according to your requirements

and its own bar. The John Merry lounge is a smaller room but is still bright and airy. It can be setup for dinners or meetings and has its own bar. This lounge has a large, state of the art plasma screen which has connections for computers and other devices. It is perfect for the smaller meeting or function. โšซ๏ธโšช๏ธ 26/27 SENIOR MENโ€™S FIXTURES ARE HERE! โšช๏ธโšซ๏ธ

The wait is finally overโ€ฆ our 2026/27 Senior Menโ€™s fixtures for both the 1st XV and Barbarians (2nd XV) have landed! ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ”ฅ

Our 1st XV welcome three returning opponents to Counties 2 this season, with Frome II, Blandford and North Dorset II joining the league. Plenty of familiar faces and some cracking fixtures lie ahead!

Meanwhile, our Barbarians (2nd XV) are set for a hugely competitive campaign, with Wellington RFC, Wincanton RFC and neighbouring Crewkerne RFC added to this yearโ€™s schedule. Expect plenty of fierce local battles throughout the season. ๐Ÿ’ฅ

A huge thank you goes to Yeovil Fencing Centre for their incredible generosity in donating a brand-new shed to replace our old, dilapidated one. It's a fantastic addition to the club and will make a real difference for years to come.

We'd also like to say a massive thank you to Simon Chubb Carpentry & Joinery, who kindly gave up his time to come to the club and expertly erect the new shed. It looks fantastic!

Finally, a shout-out to three of our men's squad, who rolled up their sleeves and tackled the job of taking the old shed down. We think they enjoyed smashing it apart just a little too much! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿ–ค๐ŸคWhat a Fantastic Summer of Touch Rugby! ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿค

A huge thank you to every child, parent, volunteer and coach who came along and made our Summer Touch Rugby programme such a success!

Over the last six weeks we've seen so many smiling faces, new friendships formed, confidence grow and rugby skills improve. From exciting games and teamwork to plenty of laughs, it's been brilliant watching everyone develop week after week.

We certainly finished in style too! ๐Ÿ’ฆ The final session ended with some fantastic water games to cool everyone down in the sunshine โ€“ and judging by the photos, we think everyone enjoyed getting soaked just as much as playing rugby! ๐Ÿ˜„

We hope you've all had as much fun as we have, and we can't wait to welcome you back onto the pitch.

๐Ÿ‰ PROTECTING OUR PLAYERS โ€“ ON & OFF THE PITCH ๐Ÿ‰

A huge thank you to Ben Coombes from Umbrella Financial for coming along to Yeovil Rugby Club and spending time with our senior menโ€™s players.

Ben delivered a really informative session about accident and injury protection, helping our players better understand the financial impact an injury can have โ€” not just on their rugby, but on their work, income and families too.

The session covered the different options available to help protect players against injuries such as fractures, ligament and tendon injuries and dislocations, alongside additional support including access to GP and physio services.

It was great to see our players engaging with Ben, asking questions and coming away with a much better understanding of the protection available to them. Even better, some have already taken steps to put cover in place following the session โ€” showing just how valuable these conversations can be.

Ben offers free 20-minute presentations to rugby clubs and teams, with no obligation, making it an easy way to give players useful information and the opportunity to consider what protection might be right for them.

From everyone at Yeovil Rugby Club, thank you Ben for giving up your time, sharing your knowledge and continuing to support grassroots rugby. ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿค

๐Ÿ‰ MUCH MORE THAN RUGBY โ€“ WHAT A DAY! ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿค

A fantastic turnout for our Menโ€™s Team Day, and it was brilliant to see so many familiar and new faces getting involved!

The lads were put through their paces with Pilates, had a go at Jiu-Jitsu, tested their skills with rounders and team activities, and also took part in an insurance presentation.

Plenty of laughs, plenty of questionable flexibility ๐Ÿ˜‚ and, most importantly, a great day spent together as a squad.

After all that hard work, everyone enjoyed a well-earned pasty lunch! ๐ŸฅŸ

A huge thank you to everyone who gave their time to make the day happen and to everyone who turned up and got stuck in.

Days like this show that being part of Yeovil RC really is about much more than just rugby. ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿค
