Well done to Matty who completed his PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course with Kaz and Mark.

Great preparation for a half term trip to Egypt and diving some of the best sites in the Red Sea.

🌟 SCUBA STARS IS BACK! 🌟

Our fantastic Scuba Stars course returns on 25th September, with 10 action-packed weeks of underwater adventures for young divers aged 8–11! 🤿

They’ll complete the PADI Seal Team course while learning real scuba skills, including breathing underwater, using scuba equipment and communicating with their buddies.

But this definitely isn’t 10 weeks of serious lessons... 😄

Expect underwater games, treasure hunts, challenges and plenty of fun, all designed to help children develop confidence, resilience and teamwork while learning to scuba dive.

And the best bit? It all takes place in the warmth and safety of our own indoor heated pool. No cold water required! 🙌

We’re not entirely sure who has more fun on Scuba Stars, the children or our instructors... 😂

September is for new skills 🌊

The schools are heading back, summer routines are changing… and September is the perfect time to learn something new.

If diving has been on your list, now is a brilliant time to get started. The water is still warm, conditions are great, and we have plenty of opportunities this month to help you begin (or take the next step) in your diving journey.

We’re often asked which pieces of kit new divers should buy first.

For us, the starting point is simple: a well-fitting mask, snorkel, boots and fins. Having your own snorkeling kit makes a real difference to comfort and confidence in the water. A mask that fits your face properly is far less likely to leak, while familiar boots and fins help you feel more at home each time you dive.

The next item we’d usually recommend is your own dive computer. It means you can follow your own dive profile, understand your no-decompression limits, and start building confidence using the same computer on every dive.

After that, it becomes much more personal.

Louise’s next purchase was a BCD that fitted her properly, which made a huge difference to her comfort and trim in the water. For others, it might be the smaller items that make diving more enjoyable - such as a hood, gloves, a DSMB, or a good torch.

There isn’t one right answer, and that’s part of the fun of gradually building a kit box that suits the diving you do.

It may be coming to the end of school holidays, but that doesn't mean summer has come to an end. There's still plenty of time for holidays and for getting ready to dive on holiday.
