This week's theme of the week is ... Movement!
It's our launchpad for physical development 💪
Now we have eased into our new term, and introduced some of the science behind what we do and why - LETS GET MOVING!
We're going to explore the profound benefits of baby and early years swimming and how movement in the water plays a crucial role in your child's overall development. 🧠
With a GLIDE, SWAY, BOUNCE, JUMP, we'll be taking time to see how your little ones are settling in and what activities they love most - our money is on BIG JUMPS 💦
We'll be making use of the pool space with our songs, games and activities! For many, it will be the first time they have experienced walking backwards in water, or jumping off the big mat!
In the water, your child can move in a way they can't on land. The buoyancy of the water provides a kind of weightlessness that frees them up to explore their bodies and their abilities 💙
Gross Motor Skills: The resistance of the water provides a gentle, full-body workout. Every kick, every arm paddle, and every reach is helping to build muscle strength and coordination 🏊♂️
These movements are the foundational skills your little one needs to establish before more complex actions like crawling, walking, and running 🏃♂️
We can't wait to see you in the pool!
