Let’s talk hormones & training 👇
Your menstrual cycle can and probably WILL affect things like your energy, mood, sleep, recovery and how your workouts feel when you are strength training, taking part in hyrox training, marathons, CrossFit or endless amounts of cardio...
But that doesn’t mean you need to completely change your training every week.
There’s a lot of advice online telling women exactly how they should train during each phase of their cycle, but the reality is your experience is individual and you should adapt and take actions in a way that is best for your body!!
Some weeks you might feel strong and ready to push.
Other weeks, PMS, fatigue, poor sleep or other symptoms might mean you need to adjust your training slightly.
And if you have irregular periods, PCOS, endometriosis or another condition affecting your cycle, trying to follow a rigid cycle-based plan might not even be practical for you in the first place!!
Instead, learn your own patterns.
Pay attention to your energy, symptoms, recovery and performance and then you can adapt when you need to.
You don’t need to train perfectly around your hormones, that's not what you need!
You need a training approach that works WITH your body!!!
Save this for the next time Instagram tells you that you’re “training wrong” because you’re on day 23 of your cycle 😂
