Our business is based on the amazing adaptability of the Clydesdale breed, which has a wonderful nature and impressive ability. The Clydesdale horse is the only native heavy horse of Scotland where it was bred in the 18th century to fulfil the needs of the farmers

of the Clyde valley for an adaptable working horse with good active paces. The Clydesdale has been a great success and the breed has been exported all over the world as an agricultural horse. In our changing world breeds including the Clydesdale, have lost their purpose as agriculture has moved on, but we at Adventure Clydesdale can demonstrate to you that these wonderful horses still have a role in the modern world as very special riding horses, which inspire confidence in their riders as they stride out through the countryside.
