Holme FC U15s are recruiting players to strengthen our squad for the remainder of this season as we build towards a competitive U16 team for 26/27.

We’re searching for a committed, enthusiastic coach who is passionate about youth development and creating a positive, inclusive environment for players to thrive.

Today, ahead of our match with Spalding United U15s, we took a moment to remember and reflect on the courage and sacrifice of all those who have served and continue to serve our country.

At Holme FC U15s, we’re proud to pause and show our respect — we will remember them. ❤️

Massive respect to Percy.

This is Percy. He was refereeing a kids match in St Ives yesterday, just as he does every week.

He refereed his first game in 1973 and he’s now 87 years old. Legend. 🏆

Grassroots football doesn’t just happen. It only works because people step up, whether that’s refereeing, coaching, running the line, or helping out with the team's admin.

The good news? You don’t need to be 87, a qualified ref, or a superhero.

You just need to be willing to help out a little.

Be more Percy.

The kids will thank you (eventually 😉).

A massive thank you to Dave from Precision Pitch Markings for coming over this evening to get the pitch looking absolutely spot on — we look forward to working with Dave for the season ahead💪👏

And a shoutout to our chairman Matt, who got stuck in with the a little bit of pitch watering duties in the 6 yard box — true dedication behind the scenes! 🙌

Before the game begins today we wanted to take this opportunity to remind you of our Purple Shirt campaign. We ask and hope that every team, player, coach, volunteer and spectator will show a unity in support for The Purple Shirt, helping the progression, development, enjoyment and experience of all our u18 referees.

Undoubtedly mistakes will happen but with positive reinforcement, encouragement and praise, this will help to upskill our referees to not only perform at their best but to encourage them to continue refereeing.

Please don’t forget, these u18 ‘Youth Referees’ are minors in the eyes of
the law, they are the future of football and it’s vitally important we
provide the support and protection they need as children.
