The YUFC Youth Tournament on 23โ24 May was a milestone weekend for our club; 2 brilliant days filled with football, friendship, sunshine, & community spirit.
Our 1st ever tournament was possible because of the amazing support from volunteers, teams, sponsors, referees, visitors, and the community.
A huge thank you to the 124 teams who took part across the weekend. The football was competitive, respectful, and full of positive energy. Players, coaches, & supporters supported the heat-related schedule changes, always putting safety first.
Thank you also to the thousands of visitors who joined us at Sean Devereux Park. Your positivity and kind words helped create a welcoming atmosphere that reflected everything our community club stands for.
Our referees & officials were outstanding throughout. Calm, fair, & professional; they played a vital role in making the tournament enjoyable for all involved.
We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors for helping make the event possible and creating memories that so many young players will cherish.
Most importantly, thank you to our volunteers. From set-up teams arriving before sunrise to car park marshals, BBQ/Sweet stall teams, organisers, grounds staff, & presentation helpers, every part of the weekend relied on people giving their time & energy.
To all our volunteers who give an hour, a day, a whole weekend, or supports the club year-round: Thank You. You are the heartbeat of Yateley United.
Your support goes far beyond one weekend. Every training session, matchday, fundraiser, and opportunity for our young players exists because volunteers care deeply about this community.
