What a fabulous weekend! It began with a trip to Vobster Quay to run a Dry Suit Diver course, with all the students making super progress and smashing their skills! I’m sure there will be plenty more UK dives to follow now everyone can remain dry and warm.

We then moved down to the coast, running the first dive for our Night Diver course at Newton’s Cove, on the longest day of the year 🤣 When the sun finally set and we were able to get in the water, highlights included tiny baby conger eels, squid, flat fish and a lobster out taking an evening stroll.

Staying overnight in Portland, it would have been rude to have left without a morning dive at Chesil Beach, so myself and Collette enjoyed a dive on our own, our first one together as a married couple, which was long overdue! The highlight was without a doubt this lovely cuttlefish 😎

Hope you’ve all had a super weekend too, and bring on the next club dives at Swanage next weekend!

Last Sunday, 15 Hidden Depths club members travelled to Beacon Cove for the latest club shore dive day 🤿

We had a lovely day, with good conditions and lots of life. Divers spotted pipefish, cuttlefish, crabs, lobsters, crawfish and much more! The weather mostly behaved too, although there was a heavy downpour whilst we were underwater 🌧️

A member of the dive club, and not yet in the WhatsApp community chat? Make sure to reach out to be added to the group, as this is proving to be a great way to easily communicate details of trips and share trip photos too.

Congratulations to our newly qualified PADI Advanced Open Water Divers - Aaron, Amy, Jonathan & Will 🥳

We had a lot of fun on the course, and concluded with a great Search & Recovery dive. This is such a useful dive, playing with knots, lines and lift bags, as well as search patterns too!

Thanks to my fellow dive instructors Nuno & Becky for their help through the course 🙂

We’re looking for a Team Assistant to join us in a varied, hands-on role combining:
• Customer service & retail
• Kit hire & shop support
• Assisting with pool sessions at Thornbury Leisure Centre
• Supporting UK dive activities

About you:
✔ Passionate about diving (UK diving experience preferred)
✔ Friendly, reliable, and great with people
✔ Full UK driving licence
✔ Right to work in the UK
