MATCHPOINT #32 YARM OPEN - RESULTS
The boiling hot weather didn't deter our fellow MatchPointers in our 2nd event at Yarm, as we saw 44 players battle the heat to get their hands on some coveted silverware!
The A event final between top seeds Alec Fuller and Matthew Bond was a great end to the day, with testing rallies throughout. Alec took the first 11-5 with his accurate and calculated style, and despite Matthew's best efforts, and some outstanding winners in the 2nd, Alec held on to win 11-8 in the second, securing the Yarm Open 2026 title!
In the B event, there was a great quality match between Will Brocklehurst and Ryan Carr, with youngster Will taking it in 3. There was another closely contested fixture in the C event final, as unseeded Jude Hodgkinson came back from 1-0 down to beat Chad Ridley 2-1. The D event was a mother and son affair, as Yarm's own Luke and Laura Beedle won the D main and D plate, beating Youssef Mentias and Harry Broomfield, respectively!
