Happy Father's Day to Every Dad at Yarm Martial Arts. ❤️🥋
Today we celebrate the dads.
The loud ones... The quiet ones... The "just one more kick!" dads... And the "I only came to watch..." dads who somehow end up holding pads.
The dads who know every belt colour... And the dads who still whisper, "Which one comes after yellow again?"
The early morning dads. The after-work rush dads. The dads who drive across town, Still in work boots, suits, or hi-vis, Just to make it before the warm-up starts.
We see you.
We see the smiles you try to hide When your child finally nails that technique.
We see the proud look When they stand a little taller, Speak a little louder, Or earn that next belt.
We see the reassuring nod When confidence wobbles.
The quiet hug after a difficult class.
The whispered, "You've got this."
You may not realise it, But every time you show up, You're teaching something far bigger than martial arts.
You're teaching commitment. You're teaching resilience. You're teaching respect. You're teaching that family matters.
Whether you're on the mats beside them, Cheering from the chairs, Or waiting patiently in reception...
You're leading.
Not with speeches... But with your example.
Being a dad today isn't always easy.
Life is busy. Bills need paying. Work can be exhausting. The world can feel uncertain.
Yet somehow... You still find the energy To clap the loudest, Carry the bags, Tie the belts, Listen to every story on the drive home, And be their biggest fan.
(And yes... Sometimes you're also the official water bottle carrier, Taxi driver, Snack provider, Sock finder... And unpaid equipment manager!)
The truth is...
Your children won't remember every lesson they learnt.
But they'll always remember Who stood beside them while they learnt it.
So today, From every instructor, Every member of staff, And every family at Yarm Martial Arts...

Thank you for every lift... Every high five... Every word of encouragement... Every sacrifice... And every moment you chose to be present.
Because long after the belts have faded, The medals have been packed away, And the trophies have gathered dust...
The example you set Will stay with your children forever.
