Very sad and disappointing to see RSPB South Stack Ynys Lawd and Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru / Natural Resources Wales have conspired behind the backs of everyone in outdoor adventure education sector to restrict access to one highly respected and valued area of Anglesey Coast, rather than working with the industry.

The UK Canyoning Association will be running a canyoning symposium on 19th-21st September at Limits Adventure

Volunteers wanted for a FREE guided ride on Sunday 8 September.

We need some “dummy” clients for a Level 3 Assessment we are running on Sunday 8 September.

Starting and finishing in Capel Curig, you must be comfortable on Red graded trails and fit enough to ride for 35 km with about 1000m of ascent; it will be a 6 hour ride. You will need to bring your own bike, food and suitable clothing for a wild, remote ride - we will not be using a trail centre.

Whilst we will look to give you an amazing ride, the focus will be on those being assessed, so there may not be as much flow as we’d normally give on a guided ride - please bear this in mind.

Please DM us, with a bit of background about your riding experience.

Check out this bridge we head under whilst gorge scrambling between the big features on our ultimate extreme canyon.

This was first built around 1868 connecting Bala to Blaenau Ffestiniog Central. After nearly 100 years of use it was later closed to all but the Nuclear Power Station at Trawsfynydd in the 1960's. It eventually closed completely in 1998, although there have been talks and actions to reopen this by Network Rail and Volunteers in the passed few years.

We haven't been very active on social media recently, but we've been really busy. Epic start to the season meeting so many awesome people, introducing and upskilling them in outdoor sports.

These photos are from yesterday's trip down our ultimate extreme canyon. Lots of climbing, jumping, abseiling, sliding and a zipline!

We've had such a variety of trips running, in the past couple of weeks I've in all our best canyons, several coasteering venues, mountain biking and underground.

Come and join us for an adventure 🤟

I've (Sol) recently completed some CPD to bring myself up to date with the UK Canyoning Association.

I'm now proud to say I passed all the assessments and hold the Canyon Instructor award; highest award in canyoning in the UK. 🤟
In addition to this/ as part of this, I'm excited to say I've, we've joined the training team in the UKCA.

Massive thanks to Ben, George The Canyoning Company for both assessments and to Ben at Vertical Skills for the Level 2! Big well done to everyone else on the assessments too, nice to work with so many highly skilled instructors! And of course, a massive thank you to our brilliant students for joining us for the journey and putting up with the assessment style trips and training! 🙏

Let's keep progressing canyoning in the UK and up skilling all the canyoneers, both recreationally and professionally. 🌀
