I can’t believe it’s almost been a full year since started coaching me... I’ve learnt so much over the last 12 months, mainly to listen to my body, stop being too hard on myself and to ENJOY life rather than feel guilty about some of the choices I’ve made πŸ˜‚πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Client spotlight πŸ’ƒπŸ½βœ¨ this is Alice; a 1-2-1 client πŸ‹πŸ½β€β™€οΈ; she came to me just 9-10 weeks ago with the goal of wanting to β€˜be a better me, I want to be & feel strong and healthy to be honest Dom' 😍 (her actual words πŸ˜‚ I love her). And in that time this is what she's achieved πŸ™πŸ½ - the best thing is when I showed her, she said β€˜that’s amazing, but what you can’t see is how great I feel and how much better I am in myself’ and that blew me awayπŸ€—. Either way it is detrimental to your health more so than anything else! Focus on relaxing and taking control of yourself; getting fitter and healthier is the first step πŸ’ƒπŸ½βœ¨

A little late night to really not so long ago. The photo on the left was actually only back in February of this year. I'm throwing it back because A LOT has changed since then. I was training a lot and eating well consistently BUT I was constantly stressed and very unhappy with how I was leading my life, therefore my body was not responding in the right way to my training and diet. Instead my weight plummeted and I was constantly ill and run down. Fast forward 3/4 months and here we are now! I am continuing to grow lean muscle every week, I'm feeling strong, feeling positive and RELAXED. Sometimes I still stress myself out I'm only human πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈbut what I am trying to say is be mindful of what you are putting your body through, if you are putting a huge amount of stress and negativity on yourself then it's likely your body is going to suffer from that. Find your strength, I found mine by learning to love my body and deciding to do what makes me happy πŸ’•

On the left - in Ibiza, August 2016, after a month of travelling & having one of the best times of my life! πŸ™ŒπŸ½ But eating pretty rubbish & leaving me pretty unconfident with my body (probably the reason I never posted this photo) holding the most fat I had done in a while, typically around my hips for me.

I found a screenshot today of MyFitnessPal from after travelling & I was eating 1,600kcals (160g Carb & 36g Fat) 😬 which made me realise how far I've come 😌 Now I'm eating over 600kcals more than I was then and nearly double the amount of carbs on a training day! πŸ˜‹ FOOD 😍 -
The difference between the left & right may not be huge for some people, but more importantly for me is the change in mindset πŸ’­ And I just wanted to show that less is not always more! I have no idea how much I weighed on the left, but I'm hoping I've gained muscle since then πŸ’ͺ🏽 & with the help of I feel the healthiest I've ever been, feel strong and my body fat is at a maintainable, healthy level. And we're still trying to work on improving my metabolism even more before entering a deficit πŸ”₯feeling proud & thankful today πŸ™πŸΌπŸ’“

Does a transformation happen overnight? Simple answer, no. A transformation takes time and is more than just physically changing on the outside, it's a change in mindset, a change in lifestyle, a change in outlook & attitude and a huge learning process πŸ’•βœ¨ Natalie has worked her ass off (or on 😏) to get to where she is now physically but I know that her journey in mindset is much more dramatic πŸ™πŸ½
