No better feeling than seeing the work no one notices…

Show up in the moments everyone does.

Not just one but all the team who competed yesterday making it happen

Smashing a PB comes from the quiet miles, the ugly sessions, and the discipline that never makes Instagram.

That’s why I’m proud of these lads…

Sam 👉🏻 from 130kg in October to smashing a sub-45 10k and carving 2:26 off his PB in less than a month.

Jamie 👉🏻 first ever sub-45, destroying his old best of 46:17.

Tom 👉🏻 3 years deep into WFW, finally cracking sub-20 for 5k inside a 10k race and shaving 6 seconds off his 10k PB

This is what it looks like when you buy into the process.

When the standard gets raised together.

Now the focus turns to Hyrox.

Birmingham & London.

Heading into it the fittest, fastest and best these lads have ever been.

Exciting times ahead 🚀

🔋 For men in Wrexham and surrounding areas

A few weeks ago, this started as a simple idea get a few lads together from the area.

After just one meet-up, we’ve already grown into a community of over 35 men

All keen on getting out, and active to get out the house, clear their heads, and connect with people who get it.

Why? Because too many of us are stuck in the same cycle work, home, phone.

Routines that can easily leave us feeling flat

The mission behind the Men’s Club is simple to give you a space to step away from the day to day routines, get outdoors, and get active around like minded people.

Next Sunday, 7th September, we’re walking from Penycae up to Airman’s Grave and looping back through Rhos.

It’s not about speed or fitness.

Literally about getting out in the open, good conversation, and time well spent with solid people.

If you’d like to get involved with our walk next Sunday.

Drop a 👋🏻 either in the comments or my DMs and I’ll add you to the WhatsApp group!

You don’t get extra points for going solo

I’ve been part of a team my whole life.

I played football for 20 years.

Run Win From Within.

Coaching alongside other coaches with a mission to impact as many as possible.

I’ve got my own coach who has a squad of athletes I’m a part of.

Going solo is just making it harder than it needs to be.

In my cases which weren’t many🤣you don’t remember what happened in the games where you played well or got man of the match.

But nothing compares to scoring that last minute winner, against the odds to grind out a result

And then being at the bottom of a pile-on with your teammates struggling to breathe.

That’s why it baffles me when I see people tackling their health and fitness alone, thinking it’s the best way go about it

Wondering why they’re not further ahead than they think they should be.

👉 You don’t get extra points for doing it solo.

👉 You don’t become tougher by cutting yourself off and going on another winter arc.

👉 You just make it harder than it needs to be.

Every breakthrough I’ve seen whether in football or in fitness

Was multiplied by the energy, accountability, and drive of being part of a team.

When you’re on your own, you don’t realise the standards you could be living by.

When you’re in a team, you rise.

Because you’ve got people ahead of you, pulling you forward.

People beside you, pushing you through.

And people behind you, backing you every step of the way.

That’s the difference.

Solo effort might get you started.

But being part of a team will take you further than you ever thought possible.

WFW Summer Social

Yesterday started with a team sweat in The Engine,

Followed by a big eat ,

Hours of conversation… and a few too many cars shuffled about to dodge parking tickets.

But the biggest lesson wasn’t that none of us know where best to park in Wrexham for a good few hours…

It was this…

Most men don’t realise how small they’re playing until they step into the right room.

Yesterday proved it.

When you surround yourself with others who’ve fought the same challenges, faced the same struggles but refuse to settle and keep raising the bar,

Your own standard naturally rises with them.

That’s when it clicks…

👉 You’re capable of far more than you thought.

👉 Your goals aren’t out of reach, they’re right in front of you.

👉 Your potential is bigger than you ever imagined.

This is why environment matters.

Get yourself in a room that challenges you.

Get around men who demand the best from you.

And you’ll smash through what you thought was possible.

This is what we do.

This is what we’re about.

Win From Within.

I used to feel gutted when summer came to an end.

Like genuinely gutted

The sun, the longer days, the ‘feel good’ vibe that came with it

I looked forward to it all year because it made me feel better without me actually doing anything to myself.

The truth is, my life wasn’t that exciting really, I didn’t have any progress going on

No clear goals, mission and summer was just something I clung onto because I suppose it filled that void

And when it ended, so did that temporary lift.

Back to dragging my feet through the days again, grinding out the winter until summer came back round

Deep down, I obviously didn’t want to rely on a quarter of the year to feel good.

I wanted to wake up with a spring in my step all year round.

I probably didn’t know it then, but what I was wanting beneath the surface was progress.

Momentum. Something that actually made me feel like I was moving forward regardless of anything else happening.

Not just a few weeks of sunshine lol.

I stopped waiting for external things to change how I felt.

I set goals. Targets that I knew would make me feel great if I I achieved them.

I built checkpoints in my year of what I wanted to be doing at different times.

I started to take responsibility for creating energy and excitement in my own life.

As time has gone on it’s become a natural thing now where whatever part of the year I’m in,

I always have something to aim for.

I can still make progress regardless of what’s going on in the world.

The weather, or external things that you can’t control, can change your mood if you let it.

But progress will change your life.

Of course I’d love summer to carry on forever and ever.

But I’m not as gutted as I used to be when it ends anymore.

Because I know regardless of what time of the year it is, there are things in place that will allow me to keep moving forward.

We have a huge back end of the year inside of WFW

Things will be achieved that beat what summer could ever give

What would you have to achieve before the end of this year to make it the best yet?

The world wasn’t holding me back which I thought it once was,

I just never did the things that allowed me to show up as my best.

Once I did. Everything started to change.

I’ve never been more clear on where we’re going and what needs to happen to get there 🚀

DONE AND DUSTED

From The Racecourse in Wrexham to St James’ Park in Newcastle…

All on foot, with a big heavy bag strapped to his back.

When Iwan first mentioned this, it was just a small idea.

To see it grow into what it became…

And to watch him actually carry it out…

Covering 286km.

Raising money for an incredible cause.

Fills me with so much pride for him.

To think, just over a year ago, Iwan came to me at 120kg, feeling like he needed to change his lifestyle.

Since then, he’s achieved so much both physically and as a person, to now add this to the list.

And become an inspiration to so many along the way.

Truly incredible.

What a journey mate 🙏🏼💙

A man on a mission 🤝

Before joining Louie and I had been in touch for years and we built a great relationship with each other.

We’d chat on and off about his training, his goals, his struggles but with different things happening in his life the timing just wasn’t right to take action.

A few months ago, I ran a free 2-week challenge.

Louie decided to give it a go.

In those two weeks, he made incredible progress and for the first time in a long time, he could see what was possible.

That’s when he decided he wanted the full slice of the pie and joined Win From Within.

For years, Louie had been trying to get in shape and build real consistency.

He’d make a start, build some momentum…

But as life would happen be it through different stressors, his fitness took a back seat

He’d feel himself slipping back to where he once was. Motivation would dip. He’d start comparing himself to his old “best” rather than meeting himself where he was at right now.

Through years of getting to know each other, I’d gotten to know Louie pretty well… His challenges, roadblocks, the things that could derail him before they even happened.

When he joined, we already knew the traps to avoid and got clear on how he wanted this process to look for him and what he would need when they happened.

Fast forward 15 weeks and Louie has dropped 13kg.

On Sunday, he competed in the Tatton Park 10k and ran a 2 minute PB by “just taking it steady”

Beyond all that though the last 15 weeks have not been an easy ride.

Life hasn’t magically got less stressful.

Big challenges have come his way.

Yet he’s stayed on top of his game through it all.

From fitness being the first thing to go when life got busy, to it being anchored in his routine no matter what’s happening.

From progress feeling temporary to progress being stacked even through challenges.

From feeling like the past cast a shadow over the present to meeting himself where he is at today and making huge strides forward.

Absolutely landed for you mate and everything you’ve achieved over the past few months.

What a man 👏🏼 You’re about to step into a real exciting part of your journey moving forward 🚀

‘I want to make this year the year I get in shape’

That’s what Ben said to me when he joined the programme, just 5 months ago.

He’d found himself going down the same road so many lads do always talking about getting in shape, meaning to make changes…

But never really pulling the trigger.

When that story plays on repeat long enough, it starts to feel like it’s easier to tap into it.

Easier to believe it.

Easier to stop even trying.

You assume that’s just how it’s always going to be.

Well my advice would be, don’t tap into it 🤣

Ben is proof of what happens when you don’t…

✅ 12kg of body fat stripped off

✅ stepped on the plane to Ibiza in his own words “feeling mint,”

✅ playing football at his best, sharper on his feet, and moving through the week as the most consistent version of himself in and out of the gym.

Ben has still had plenty of nights out with the lads during this time.

No missing out or heavy restriction.

Just learning how to make progress whilst also enjoying life…

As you can see it didn’t hold him back one bit.

‘this is defo the best shape I’ve ever been in’

Next stop 👉🏻 first Hyrox Doubles this December.

Let’s go brother. 👊
