Theodore turned 6!

Today we had the pleasure of hosting a party for our very own Theodore. All the kids came with a great attitude and showed great skills throughout, and made it a really positive experience and birthday party.

Theodore asked to play rumble, get out of jail and a little match so that’s exactly what we did. We are pleased that he had a great day and we was trusted to host the party.

Match Review: Skegness Town vs Wragby All Stars ⚽💙⭐

Today our U9s travelled to Skegness full of confidence after some brilliant recent performances in tournaments, and that confidence was clear to see from the opening minutes.

The All Stars got on the ball really well, played some lovely football and created plenty of attacking opportunities. Throughout the game, every player gave their all. The boys played in different positions, adapted brilliantly and got the chance to show the skills they’ve been working so hard on in training.

Every single All Star should be proud of their performance. Martin made some fantastic saves in goal, Seth and Seb were excellent in defence, while Seb, Louie and Regan caused plenty of problems going forward. Fraser had a great game, Hugo worked incredibly hard throughout, and Charlie really got stuck in and gave everything for the team.

We scored two brilliant goals, and they couldn’t have been more different! The first came from Louie after a superb team move and some excellent counter-attacking football. The second was something very special. Seb Paton produced an absolute rocket of a volley from his own half, his second goal of the season already, and one that certainly won’t be forgotten in a hurry! 🚀⚽

Coaches Jamie, Pete, Harry and Emily couldn’t be prouder of the whole team. The effort, attitude and togetherness from every player was fantastic from start to finish.

A huge thank you to Skegness for the game. They were a very talented opposition and gave us a brilliant test.

🏆 Coaches’ Player of the Match: Seb Paton
Seb defended superbly, put everything on the line for his team and capped off an outstanding performance with that incredible volley that took everyone’s breath away. A thoroughly deserved award!

🏆 Parents’ Players of the Match: Regan & Louie
It was impossible to separate these two! Regan was fantastic, showing brilliant footwork and dribbling ability to glide past players and cause problems throughout the game. He was a real joy to watch.

Louie worked tirelessly as always, constantly getting on the ball and posing a threat whenever we attacked. He topped off another brilliant performance with a fantastic team goal.

Most importantly, every single player contributed and can walk away proud of their performance. The progress this team continues to make is fantastic to see, and their hard work is really starting to show on the pitch.

Well done to every single one of our All Stars. We’re incredibly proud of you all! 💙⭐⚽

Another great session from the Under 6 All stars today!

We started the session with a fun game of Body Parts to get everyone warmed up.
The players dribbled their ball around the area and, when the coach called out a body part, they had to get that body part down to the ball as quickly as possible. This was a great way to get them moving while working on their ball control and reactions.

We then moved on to a cone flipping race, splitting the players into two groups and having them race against each other to see who could flip all of their cones over the quickest. A great little game for speed and team work.

Next, we worked on some close ball control and dribbling, weaving the ball between the cones while keeping it nice and close to our feet. The players then passed the ball back to Coach Warwick before running through the cones to finish.

We then progressed into a dribbling and passing exercise, where the players dribbled up to a cone, passed to their partner and then ran back to the starting cone.

We were also really pleased to welcome two new starters today, Emmy and Rio.
Both settled in brilliantly and showed some real skill and ability during the session.

A massive well done to Emmy, who impressed coach Warwick throughout the session and took the Trainer of the Week, trophy home 👏🌟

💙⚽ NEW KIT DAY! ⚽💙

Today we were incredibly excited to finally reveal our brand-new away kit and give the kids the chance to see it and wear it for the first time! 🤩

Our U9s won’t have to wait long to put it into action either, as they’ll be proudly wearing the new kit tomorrow night away at Skegness Town. We can’t wait to see them walk out in it! ⚽🔥

A massive thank you to Colebrook School of Dance and Performing Arts for generously sponsoring the shirts for all of our All Stars. Your support means so much to us and ensures the kids can step onto the pitch looking and feeling the part. We really can’t thank you enough for what you’ve done for the club. 💙

We’d also like to say a thank you to Coach Harry Closefor contributing towards the new kit.

And, of course, another enormous thank you to our amazing Jack Harwood Haspen Teamwear, who has once again done a fantastic job producing the kits. A lot of hard work has gone on behind the scenes to make sure all of our Wragby teams across all agesare ready and looking smart for the new season. 👕⚽

Today we welcomed 35 All Stars that attended our session! 🌟

It was fantastic to see all 35 All Stars at training!⚽👏

The older players were split into three groups, allowing them to focus on three different training stations.

⚽ With Coach Pete, the players worked on 1v1 attacking and defending situations, developing their confidence both on and off the ball.

⚽ With Coach Jamie, the focus was on keeping possession, with plenty of work on passing, movement and teamwork.

⚽ With Coach Harry, the players worked on protecting the ball, ball mastery and defending.

All three coaches had nothing but positive things to say about the group. Every player worked incredibly hard, showed a great attitude and gave their best in every drill. Well done, everyone! 👏

🏆 Trainers of the Week

This week, we had two very deserving trophy winners!

Our first award went to Tommy, who was attending his very first session with us. He certainly made it one to remember! Tommy was excellent throughout every drill, worked extremely hard and performed to a brilliant standard. A fantastic first session, Tommy! 🌟

Our second trophy went to Seth, a fantastic player who always arrives with a smile on his face. Seth consistently demonstrates great skill during our sessions, shows excellent behaviour and continues to improve week after week. A very well-deserved award! 👏🏆

Well done to Tommy and Seth, and a huge well done to all 35 of our All Stars for another brilliant session! ⚽🌟

⚽️ MATCH DAY OVERVIEW | WRAGBY ALL STARS U9s ⚽️

Today our Wragby All Stars U9s travelled to Great Ponton to take part in the Portuguese Football Alliance Pre-Season Round Robin Tournament. 🇵🇹⚽️

The boys played 3 matches and put in a fantastic team performance throughout the tournament. We saw some great teamwork, excellent passing and brilliant movement, with the players really starting to work together and support each other as a team. 👏

⚽️ Some fantastic goals from Jordan and Seb Pi showed great attacking play, while Martin produced some epic goal-saving moments🧤

Most importantly, every player worked hard for each other, showing great attitude, teamwork and sportsmanship. It was brilliant to see the boys passing the ball, communicating and playing as a team.

A fantastic experience and another great step in our pre-season journey! 💙⚽️

Well done, Wragby All Stars U9s — you should all be proud of yourselves! 👏⭐️

Well done to our amazing all stars for their session today.

We decided today that we would let the kids have a quick warm up, and then play a game with a mixture of U8s and u9s. With play stopped occasionally to show some coaching points and different ways of playing, but in fairness to the kids it was rarely stopped to have to show them much as they was excellent.

Today Trainer of the week on one team was new boy Harold, you wouldn’t of thought it was his first week as he came in with great confidence, managed to find great space, lots of confidence within talking to his teammates and helping them, and quickly got into the way we play football, a very talented player.

The trainer of the week in the other team went to Leo, a player that is always fantastic and showed his skills again tonight. Per usual he excelled in every position he played whether that was striker, defence or in goal, a super talented player and smashed it tonight.

Massive well done to the all stars that attended today’s session.

Today we started off with a warm up, where you had to run through the ladders, then run in and out of the poles, then dribble through the cones with a football to take a shot at goal.

We then moved onto game scenarios, we worked hard on moving away from your defender as an attacker to find space and get on the ball, on the other hand the defender had to try keep with the attacker wherever they went to stop them from being able to receive the ball.

After that we got the poles back out and the attacker had to get away from the acting defender and go either left or right round one of the poles to find space and get a shot away quickly.

We finished off with 1v1/ 2v2s

Well done to Claire who was our trainer of the week for her great skills and performing to a great level.

Our mystery shirt winner for great behaviour and attitude went to Hugo.

U8 tournament at Gainsborough.

Today the young all stars travelled to Gainsborough for another exciting tournament. Within this tournament there was some extremely talented teams and some fantastic football getting played across the age groups.

The boys was amazing today, they battled hard against every team and produced great moments as a team with some great passing leading up to some great goals, amongst some great individual moments.

Once again the coaches couldn’t be anymore proud of the all stars. They keep getting better and better each week.

It was brilliant to see both the u8s and u9s cheering each other on when having the chance and making the club proud.
