If you are booked into the 0830 swim session tomorrow morning please be aware that we will not be able to get you in the water until around 0900. As soon as the water is clear of triathletes we will get you in.

𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠: All competitor parking is situated at the top area around South West Maritime Academy. Please follow the directions of our marshals on arrival. ⁣
⁣
𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Head straight to the Alastair Soutar building at the top site next to the car park.⁣
⁣
𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Once registered, rack your bike in transition. Competitors can then head down into the quarry to prepare for the swim starts. ⁣
⁣
𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫⁣
You must have footwear for the run from the swim exit up to transition. You can leave your shoes at the swim start/finish on the slipway before your wave goes off.⁣

Hi all

Just an update to say from today until the 14th of September the last session 7pm to 9pm you MUST have a light and a tow float. Limited tow floats available to rent so bring your own to avoid disappointment. Glow sticks available for purchase in the shop.

🌊 𝐁𝐨𝐧 𝐕𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐠𝐞, 𝐄𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲! 🇳🇿⁣

It will be a bittersweet Bank Holiday weekend here at The Lake as we prepare to say farewell to our fantastic water safety team member, Emily.⁣
⁣
Monday will be Emily's last day at The Lake before she heads off for an incredible new chapter: travelling to New Zealand!⁣
⁣
Since joining us as an Outdoor Activities Apprentice in March 2025, Emily has been an absolute superstar. Whether she was delivering a paddleboard workshop or on watch during a busy swim session, Emily has always put in a hard day's work. We will certainly miss her enthusiasm and sense of humour here at The Lake and South West Maritime Academy.⁣
