We are very excited to be back in the PARC this weekend for Wotton parkrun, and rumour has it that there will be cake! 🧁

However, we are still looking for a few more volunteers, including barcode scanners; someone to give the first timers briefing, and a couple more marshals. If you are able to help, please email [email protected]

What a lovely morning for Wotton parkrun! ☀️

Thank you to our fabulous volunteers for ensuring that our 69 finishers navigated the course safely, and well done to all the participants.

Special mentions go to:

Georgia Palmer, who ran an impressive time of 19.29 to become not only today’s first female, but also first finisher overall - well done Georgia!👏

Ben Thorne, who completed his 100th parkrun. Congratulations, and thank you for joining us at Wotton. 👏

Max, David, Shawn, Steve, Alison and Jennifer, who all recorded PBs today. Well done folks - amazing effort! 👏

And finally, another reminder that we are cancelled for the next two weeks, due to other events in the park. We look forward to seeing you all on June 20th!

We are looking forward to seeing you all in Wotton Community PARC for parkrun tomorrow morning. It is forecast to be another warm, sunny morning, so don’t forget to bring water, hats and sunscreen! ☀️

We also have Wotton Lions attending to hand out race numbers in advance to anyone who is running 10,000m Under the Edge on Sunday, so another great reason to pop down and join us.

And don’t forget that we are cancelled for the next couple of weeks due to other events in the PARC, so this weekend is your last opportunity to enjoy our course until June 20th!

We had a bumper field of 119 parkrunners this week, and 18 amazing volunteers. 👏

There were no official milestones, but Heather Cole brought a lovely butterfly-shaped cake to celebrate her 100th run at Wotton (out of an impressive 329 in total!) Well done, Heather, and thank you.

We also said goodbye to Cyrus, one of our Duke of Edinburgh Award volunteers, who has now completed his Bronze Award Volunteering. Thank you for all your help!

We are also missing a finish token… 😢 Number 9 has gone walkabouts after being scanned. If you find it, or know where it ended up, please do let us know.

And finally, don’t forget that we are cancelled on 6th and 13th June due to other events using the park.
