Proformance Coaching was founded by former Bristol Rovers and Forest Green Rovers Academy coach Alex Lumsden. By working with local communities our mission is to support the increase in activity and participation through sport to children of all abilities. Our fun and engaging sessions are designed for children to learn and develop skills at their own pace in a safe and inclusive environment with

a ball at their feet. All of our coaches are FA and/or qualified within a sport. They have also completed the relevant Safeguarding and First Aid requirements, including a DBS check.

Our Wotton-under-Edge Under 6 group offers children the opportunity to develop their skills, confidence and love for the game before progressing into a grassroots football team.

The group will become the Wotton Rovers Under 7 team for the 2027/28 season, creating a clear and exciting pathway for young players to continue their football journey! 💛

It’s the perfect opportunity for children to make new friends, enjoy their football and prepare for their first experience of grassroots matches! 🏆

Our Saturday morning preschool sessions in Wotton-under-Edge give children aged 18 months to 2 years the perfect introduction to football, and you can get your child's first session for completely FREE!

Through fun, age-appropriate games, we help children develop their balance, coordination and confidence with an introduction to football - all while creating plenty of smiles along the way! 🙌

By rewarding goals scored from different areas of the pitch, as well as one-touch finishes from crosses, players are encouraged to recognise space, make decisions and try different ways to create chances. 🙌

📚 A day dedicated to helping our coaches develop and getting ready for another fantastic year! ⚽

Last Friday, our team came together for our Proformance Induction Day - a full day of learning, sharing ideas, introducing new members to the team and preparing for the year ahead. 🙌

👕 The day started with staff photos and our brand new Litaro coaching kits, before hearing from Paul at Birdie Financial Services as we continue to work alongside our fantastic Brand Partners.

🗣️ We then heard from Alex, Ellis and Harrison, sharing more about our school programmes, football provision, camps and events - as well as everything that goes on behind the scenes to make Proformance what it is.

📸 Of course, we had to get the whole team together for a team photo before finishing the day with a practical coaching development session delivered by e-CAN.

Days like this are a chance for our coaches to learn, grow, share experiences and feel supported as part of the Proformance team. We’re proud to invest in our people and give them the tools, knowledge and confidence to keep developing in their coaching journey. 👏”
