Last week we performed at St Richard's fair in Goring. It was windy (!) but wonderful to have the opportunity to perform outside, in the community! Now taking taster bookings for September, when we will start preparing for our big Spring SHOW 😃

Costume purchases incoming for our 2027 show! 🤩 Just a few spaces remaining for the classes taking part in the show, so contact us now to enquire and book a taster class 😀

This is not just jumping over spots. In our preschool classes we jump over puddles in spring, and hop between 'hot rocks' in our beach theme class... this is to strengthen our legs and work on our rhythm skills, but also to practice taking turns. I'm so proud of the children who have progressed with both all these skills in this past couple of weeks - well done! 🥳

More fabulous hard work and artistry from our Grade 5 and Grade 6 exam students this week 😍🩰 Well done girls!

We had a lovely time performing at the diamond anniversary fair for St Richard's Church, Goring, on Saturday - along with a fab ballet group and one of our senior ballet students, this group danced their socks off and enjoyed performing outside in the local community.
Well done everyone! (short video to follow when I've had time to edit it!) and thank you and for inviting us 😀

This is not a just a ‘pointy toe’. This is a stretched foot, where we flex from our ankle and try to ping the elastic off our shoe 😀🩰🧑‍🩰
No scrunched up toes here 🤩
A properly stretched foot has always been and always will be one of the foundations of ballet technique, and whilst most children can do this with a little practice, what really takes a long time to master is keeping the foot stretched during all steps and especially between steps… that is a whole other ballet game 😜
Well done to everyone who has been working hard on this across the past few weeks 👏

This week I had the pleasure of visiting Durrington High School to give a careers talk to Yr9 students about starting and growing a small business. Students were given an insight into how you start a business and the skills you develop as it grows, including the many many different roles a business owner takes on day to day. Whilst you don't go into running a children's activity in order to make a tonne of money, it's important that young people know it IS possible to turn a passion into an income and also have a positive impact on your local community!

Throwback Thursday ⏳🥰
What a privilege it is to be part of your child's life as they grow!
Ezri started classes with us when she was just 3, and continues to enjoy focusing in her Ballet classes each week now that she is in high school. She persevered with zoom classes back in 2020/21 and this has paid off, as she is now in Grade 4 and soon to be assessed for getting pointe shoes maybe this year or next.
It's so lovely to look at her dance journey here 😍🩰
(Ezri is also our show make-up video model, so you may recognise her from that!)

This week we begin some extra coaching sessions for some of our senior ballet students. Alyssa has been dancing with us since she was 4, and is about to complete Grade 6 whilst also doing her GCSEs. We love that we get to provide students with a much needed escape from academic studies, engaging their brains and bodies in a different way which ultimately gives them a good sense of balance in their life 😀
