Lovejoy Centre! ❤️
Today we enjoyed a very special visit to the beautiful English Martyrs Church in Goring, where we had the opportunity to see the incredible reproduction of the Sistine Chapel ceiling. We were given a fascinating and very accessible talk about the paintings and the history behind them, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed taking in the amazing artwork and beautiful stained-glass windows.
It was particularly lovely that the church held special memories for one of our group, who had previously been involved there. It made our visit all the more meaningful. ❤️
From there we travelled on to Ferring Country Centre, where we enjoyed a lovely lunch together before heading out to see the animals. Everyone had a great time — and some of our group were even brave enough to get up close and give the animals a stroke!
A HUGE thank you to David from Dial-a-Ride, who was an absolute legend today! Not only did he drive our minibus, but he very kindly stepped in and helped us throughout the day. We were incredibly grateful for his kindness and support.
And, of course, a massive thank you to our wonderful Lovejoy Centre staff and to Roz, our volunteer, for all their hard work, patience and care in making sure everyone was supported and able to enjoy the day.
Lots of smiles, fresh air, beautiful things to see, good food and lovely company. A very full day — but a very successful one! ❤️

💜 What a fun-filled day we’ve had at the Lovejoy Centre today! 💜
There has been so much laughter, movement, music and good old-fashioned fun! 🎶🎈
We enjoyed parachute activities together, followed by our balloon and racket game — although our first balloon didn’t survive very long! 😂🎈 One enthusiastic hit and POP! The room erupted with laughter, and thankfully balloon number two fared a little better!
We also got musical, singing some of our favourite songs while waving our bright blue and pink tinsel pom-poms 💙🩷✨ There’s something wonderful about seeing everyone joining in, singing, moving and simply enjoying being together.
Alongside all the energetic fun, there was time for quieter activities, conversation and companionship too.
Days like today remind us that meaningful activity doesn’t have to be complicated. A balloon, a song, a colourful parachute and, most importantly, people sharing the moment together can bring so much joy.
Lots of smiles, lots of laughter and another lovely Wednesday at the Lovejoy Centre. 💜

☀️ A lovely Tuesday Out & About! 🌊
What a beautiful day we’ve enjoyed today! We started with some puzzles and activities, including spending time with the My Life Story Journal, followed by a nice lunch before heading out to make the most of the glorious sunshine.
And where better to go on a day like today than our wonderful Worthing seafront! 💙
We enjoyed the fresh sea air, took in the views of the pier and fishing boats, wandered through Steyne Gardens, encountered a couple of rather inquisitive seagulls 😂 and, of course, found time to sit in the sunshine with a nice cuppa. ☕🌊
Days like today are what our Out & About time is all about — companionship, conversation, reminiscence, fresh air, laughter and simply enjoying our local community together.
Sometimes the simplest days really are the loveliest. ☀️💙

A huge THANK YOU to the wonderful team at Cat & Rabbit Rescue Centre for their very kind donation of a wheelchair to the Lovejoy Centre. 💜🩵
This will be such a valuable addition to our Centre and will help us to continue supporting our service users when they need a little extra assistance with their mobility.
Acts of kindness like this really do make a difference. Rather than something useful going to waste, this wheelchair has been given a new home where it will be used, appreciated and will directly benefit the people we support.
It was lovely to meet you today and to receive the wheelchair on behalf of everyone at the Lovejoy Centre.
Thank you, Cat & Rabbit Rescue Centre, for thinking of us and for your generosity. We are truly grateful. 🙏💜
