💚💛 THANK YOU, JOSH 💛💚

After 11 incredible years at the helm of the 1st XI, today will be Josh’s last game as the 1st captain.

Eleven years isn’t just a number. It’s thousands of overs, countless decisions, wins, losses, celebrations, frustrations and memories — but above all, it’s eleven years of putting this club before himself.

Josh’s dedication, determination and commitment to Chippingdale Cricket Club has been nothing short of incredible. Through the highs and the lows, he has always led from the front, giving everything he had to the team and to the badge on his chest.

Captaining a cricket team for 11 years takes more than cricketing ability. It takes character, patience, resilience and an enormous amount of heart. Josh has shown all of those qualities time and time again.

There are very few people who can say they have given 11 years of their life to leading a club’s 1st XI. What Josh has done will leave a lasting mark on Chippingdale, and his contribution will never be forgotten.

SEASON ENDING WIN FOR CHIPPS.🎯🍺

Chipps secured their ninth win from 12 games to end the summer league season finishing second on our debut season.

In the singles Josh and Aaron gave us a 2-0 lead. At 3-1 Chipps looked to increase their advantage but Tarring club came back to level 3-3.

So to the doubles. Josh and Aaron lead the way but unfortunately lost in a close game, 4-3 Tarring
So to Max and Jay who played really well to make it 4-4.
Last up Pete and making his debut, Sam Theodoridi. Sam doing the right thing for his partner by getting his darts in the board !! 😁

With the win Chipps were 5-4 up.

So to the final triples of the season. Pete,Jay and Tom won the leg and the match with Pete hitting double 7 leaving the opposition a long way behind.

Last but not least Max,Josh and Sam played superbly leaving the Tarring 3, 350 behind. Albeit Josh finally hitting double 1.

A brilliant combined effort from everyone who took part this season.

What a season it’s been for the team. Plenty of hard work, big performances and, most importantly, a season to be proud of.

And not a bad first year at all for Adam as skipper! 👏😂
