Keep Me Breathing
I wanted to personally thank you, on behalf of everyone at Keep Me Breathing, for supporting us this year in our life-saving work.
Because of you, we are changing the lives of children born with Congenital Central Hypoventilation Syndrome (CCHS). Over the past 12 months, with your support alongside others, we have been able to invest £175,000 into CCHS research and treatment. During this time, we achieved a major milestone: the successful build of the world’s smallest wearable CO2 monitor, now patent pending.
This device is the critical foundation of our five-year roadmap, which is focused on delivering an advanced breathing pacemaker and transforming long-term outcomes for children with CCHS.
The money raised has been spent on treatment, not awareness. We run a very lean ship to ensure that every pound possible goes into development. We will continue to do this and ensure that we don’t waste money given, ever. At some point next year I will share an email outlining what we’ve spent that’s not been directly on treatment research - the list is very small!
Looking ahead to 2026, we plan to invest a further £250,000 into the next stages of our roadmap, we need to do this to keep us on schedule.
Each year, with continued support like yours, we move closer to freedom for children with CCHS. In time, it will be because of supporters like you that these children can enjoy their first sleepovers with friends, go on camping trips safely, and grow up sleeping independently into adulthood.
I hope you don’t mind me asking when you’ve already supported us, but if there is anything you would consider doing for us in 2026 I would be very, very appreciative.
Whether through volunteering, a donation, fundraising support, profile raising or introductions to people who may be able to help us with our mission.
You can always reach out directly to myself: [email protected], or our Operations Lead, Sarah: [email protected].
We are always so happy to hear from you, discuss any ideas you might have and support you wherever we are able to.
With sincere thanks,
James
