🎱🔥 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗣𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗕𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗦 𝗡𝗢𝗡-𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗘 🔥🎱

Our ambition has always been to provide top-level events for players to elevate the sport to new levels. With our clear and never-before-seen structure for 8 Ball Pool, we believe that we offer far more than any other organisations, who have over-promised and failed to deliver time and time again.

The structure of any sport should be rewarding for all involved at a cost that is both fair and reasonable. The average cost per event based on a player qualifying from Q School and playing on the WPT for 2 years is just £85.00.

An entire top-down structure - something that no other organisation offers - was announced with our 6 core elements, comprising of:
- The World Pool Tour
- The World Pool Women's Tour
- World Pool Q School
- The WPL Amateur Pool Championships
- The WPL Challenge Tour
- The WPL Developmental Tour

We believe that the "Elite" players have enough opportunities to explore, and while there are "Amateur" event offerings, these tend to filter the prize money to the top levels, or provide a safe passage through earlier rounds and we all agree that in order to push the sport forward, we need to take a step back.

Therefore, effective immediately, the World Pool Q School series in 2021 and 2022 will be open 𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗬 to any player who is 𝗡𝗢𝗧:
- An IPA Professional, or
- A UPG Pro Series player.
Any player who falls into these categories has been contacted, refunded and removed from WPL events going forward.

Additionally, players who enter WPL events will not be banned from participating in other events, subject to the above criteria.

𝗪𝗣𝗟 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗽:
"Through this new approach, we firmly believe that we can take the sport to new levels over the next 2-3 years, uncovering some of the best talent to build a future around. Within 5 years, we will have at least a dozen players earning a living from the sport along with some of the best people behind the scenes employed by the company.

🔴 Q School offers the best value series on the 8 Ball Calendar, with entry costing just £350 for all 5 events.

🟡 At each Regional Q School event, the format is Double Elimination with races to 9 and 6 frames.

⚫️ 128 players qualify from Q School 2021 and will be eligible for a 2 Year WPT Tour Card, playing at venues/arenas across the UK.

Q SCHOOL 2021 UPDATE

It is with regret that after careful consideration, World Pool Ltd is today announcing the postponement of all 2021 Q School events that were due to take place prior to 16th May 2021.

Due to the recent developments surrounding the pandemic and extensions to current restrictions as set out by the UK Government, the proposed schedule of events cannot proceed. Any restrictions on numbers and the associated 2 metre social distancing rules are major barriers to the viability of these events proceeding, and the likelihood that licensed premises may not reopen until May 2021 adds credence to this decision.

Our main priority is to ensure the health and wellbeing of each and every player, staff member at each venue, and any WPL connected staff.

Despite this postponement, World Pool Ltd is committed to ensuring that the Regional Q School events can proceed to the new schedule and the Regional Directors are working on their respective schedules with a view to releasing the revised dates shortly.

This postponement also enables us to support those players who have already entered and those who wish to enter as we will be extending the entry deadline until 2nd May 2021. Any player who has entered can rest assured that any fees paid to date are 100% secure and likewise any further entries also have this guarantee.

The last year has been a challenge for us all and we are very thankful for your continued support. Our team is working hard behind the scenes to ensure that once we are in a position to hit the ground running, we can do just that.

We appreciate that this is a difficult time for all of us and our thoughts go out to each and every member of the Pool community impacted by this pandemic.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and rest assured that any venues who previously agreed to host a Q School event will not miss out once we are allowed to proceed in a safe and secure manner. We all look forward to getting back on the baize in the very near future.”
