If a run club says “ALL PACES WELCOME”…

…but the slowest runner ends up alone…

are all paces actually welcome?

Fast runners deserve their workout.

But don’t call the club beginner-friendly if beginners keep getting dropped.

What should “all paces welcome” actually mean?

It should mean that you are their until the end , you start as a group and finish as a group, circle back give encouragement. As a friend says the magic of the group

Its also relevant to races and events, I have been there were they are packing up as the last runners are coming in , I have been last at XC and the tape has already been took down.

I can tell you that wont happen at the Clumber Dirty Dozen we will be there fully supporting until the last runner crosses the line

🏃‍♂️ THE CLUMBER DIRTY DOZEN EVENT VILLAGE IS TAKING SHAPE! 🏃‍♀️

We’re really pleased to start introducing some of the fantastic brands and businesses that will be joining us in the Clumber Dirty Dozen Event Village on Saturday 26th September! 🙌

And we’re determined to make the event village a great place to hang around before, during and after the race — not just for our runners, but for friends and family coming along to support them too. 👏

Keeping you fuelled and hydrated! RUX will be there with their fantastic hydration range, including their brilliant electrolytes. Perfect for getting the most out of your run — and recovering afterwards!

Our local gym crew will also be there! Their team will be on hand to offer advice, chat all things fitness and training, and showcase what they do at Link Active.

With less than 4 weeks to go we can reveal that the medal for the inaugural Clumber Dirty Dozen is a heavy duty slate medal which can be hung like your normal medals or be used as a coaster for your 🍺 or ☕️
We hope everyone enjoys the unique finishers medal as much as we do. Our medal providers Sprinters take extreme pride in everything they do. If you havent entered yet now is the time to do so with only 150 places left !
