What a night! 🏴
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event. Your support has helped add even more to the funding pot for the Project Reborn 3G Community Football Pitch.
To make this project a reality, we need to raise around £400,000. The Football Foundation doesn’t simply match funding once you reach that figure. They want to see that you’ve explored every possible avenue and that the whole community is behind the project before they commit their investment.
That means we need support from:
⚽ Corporate businesses
⚽ Local businesses
⚽ Local authorities
⚽ Community clubs
⚽ Charities
⚽ The local community
We were chatting last night and worked out there are around 125,000 people living in Bassetlaw. Imagine if every single person donated just £1—we’d have £125,000! 😂
Of course, it’s not quite that simple, and a GoFundMe campaign will probably come much later, but it shows what’s possible when a community gets behind something.
I hear people across local football saying, “We desperately need a 3G facility.”
The question is… how much do we want it? 🤷♂️
If we continue supporting events like we did last night, together we really can make this happen. Every ticket bought, every raffle entry, every sponsor, every donation and every shared post brings us one step closer to creating something that will transform football and sport for future generations across Bassetlaw.
