Nothing makes us smile more than seeing Tokoda happily cantering over to say hello. 🥹

At 10 months old, he's growing in confidence every day and is always first at the gate for a fuss and a scratch. Such a happy little chap! 💛

We always have something going on at the yard and this week we had the pleasure of hosting Denise from Sussex Equine Massage Therapy to do one of her workshops. She borrowed some of our lovely ponies and horses Blackcurrant, Jack, Bedford, Blue, and faith they did definitely approve.

I had a chance to have a walk around take some pics and have a chat with some of the ladies about what they were learning. A big thanks to Denise and we will see you next year. ❤️

Hey guys it’s the best time of the week again it’s Flynn Friday!!🥰

Well folks, another week has passed and I am still as brillaint as ever. This week I've been very busy supervising operations from my usual strategic locations.🕵🏻‍♂️

The humans seem to think they run the yard. I allow this belief to continue because it keeps them occupied while I focus on the important things like monitoring treat distribution, inspecting wheelbarrows, and ensuring no one walks past my stable without saying hello and a snack or two 👀

This week I successfully:
-Conducted several thorough hay quality inspections.
-Reminded everyone that breakfast should arrive earlier.
-Tested the durability of my stable door.
-Provided emotional support to anyone carrying snacks.

There has also been plenty of yard gossip. I can't reveal names, but let's just say some horses have been making questionable life choices involving mud puddles. I’m guessing Faith🤫.

As always, life on the yard is never dull. There are friends to see, things to investigate, and endless opportunities to make the humans laugh, shake their heads, What is Flynn doing now?"
The answer is usually eating something I'm not supposed to be eating.😋

Have a fantastic weekend, everyone. I'll be spending mine keeping a close eye on proceedings and making sure no treats go unaccounted for.🍎

See you all next Friday lots of love your favourite cob Flynnnn. ❤️

🚨🚨🚨🚨THIS WILL KILL 🚨🚨🚨🚨

This is not a harmless treat. It WILL KILL them.

We have horses in here who are laminitic, elderly, some with allergies, and some who are on restricted diets to monitor condition. Not to mention they could choke 🚨

You may think you are being kind, but you are putting our horses at risk. If one of our horses becomes extremely ill or dies because someone has decided to ignore this, the consequences are devastating, heartbreaking. You simply have to watch them suffer in the last moments of their life which is all completely avoidable.🚨

While we understand that people love seeing the horses and we love you admiring them but please help keep them safe and live a longer life by NOT feeding them. 🚨

If everyone could share this it would be greatly appreciated. ☺️

🐴 Takoda Tuesday 🐴

This week’s entertainment for Takoda has been a bucket. 🪣

At 10 months today ! He continues to prove that the simplest things are often the most exciting. What is an ordinary bucket quickly to him became a toy, puzzle, and an endless bit of fun.🤪

What we love most about him is his ability to turn anything into an adventure. Safe to say the bucket didn’t stand a chance. 🤣

🐴Welcome Molly🐴

We are delighted to introduce our newest member of the family Molly. She is 7year old and 16.1/16.2.

She’s had a few days in isolation and she’s just gone into her own little paddock to be introduced to her new herd. This week she will be vetted and added onto the riding school licence and after a through vet check she will be in a couple of lessons. 🩷

So give Molly a warm welcome. 🐴

Hey guys it’s me the best cob Flynn.
I have been thinking a lot this week and I'd like to report a serious issue. I am being followed.😟

Everywhere I go, there are humans.
I walk to the gate? Humans.
I stand in the field? Humans.
I put my head over the stable door hoping for five minutes of peace? Humans.
And they all seem to want something.
"Flynn, can you look after this rider?"
"Flynn, can you stand still?"
"Flynn, can you stop eating that?"

It's exhausting being this popular.
This week has been the usual riding school chaos. I've escorted beginners around like the seasoned professional I am, forgiven some very creative steering decisions, and listened patiently while riders told me their deepest secrets halfway through a trek.
I know everything, by the way.👀
I know who's nervous.
I know who's feeling confident.
I know who's forgotten their left from their right.
And I definitely know who's got treats in their pocket.🍎

The yard has also entered that strange time of year where the weather can't make up its mind. One minute everyone's in T-shirts talking about summer, the next minute they're rummaging through the tack room looking for waterproofs and questioning all their life choices.☔️

I, meanwhile, have remained consistent.😘
Still handsome.
Still hardworking (some may disagree)
Still unfairly expected to exercise before breakfast.
I've also spent a lot of time this week watching the humans. They spend an extraordinary amount of money on equipment designed to stop mud getting on things, only to immediately put those things in mud. Fascinating species.
Anyway, another successful week completed.
The riders learned things.
The instructors survived (just). 😳
The ponies caused minor drama (by ponies I mean Blackcurrant, Blueberry, and Guinness). 👀
And I continued carrying the riding school on my broad, athletic shoulders.
You're welcome.
Love from everybody’s favourite cob Flynnnnnn ❤️

🐴Takoda Tuesday 🐴

Our not so little boy will be nearly 10 month old and growing up fear to quickly! This week he’s been enjoying life in his new field, spending times exploring, grazing and keeping close to grandad Gandalf.

It’s lovely to watch him not only have a play around with endless energy like the little baby he is but then also stand quietly beside Gandalf, learning the ropes from the old pro.

Every week there is something new with this “little” man, and we are proud of the horse he is becoming.

Hey guys it’s me your favourite cob Flynn, I’m back with another Flynn Friday. Hold your horses and strap in it’s a good one this week. 🤪

Firstly this week I was dragged out my field while relaxing and was told I’m doing a showing day news to me that is considering I don’t do ANYTHING in the school. Georgia thought she would bribe me with treats. Sienna thought she was going to bribe me by trying to make me look fabulous, but the jokes on her I look fabulous all the time…🍎

So off I go entering the show ring. I showed off my best trot, posed beautifully when people are watching, only occasionally considered leaving the area dramatically to pursue snacks. The humans kept saying things like “good boy” and “he looks amazing”, which I accepted very graciously because I am very humble. 👑

By the end of the day I was exhausted from all the hard work of me being looked at, admired, and generally iconic. Naturally, I celebrated by immediately looking for snacks the second the bridle came off. 😋

Secondly mum and Georgia have been out all day and there is news of a hot new mare coming soon. Leave your guesses in the comments 👀.

Lots of love your favourite cob Flynnnn❤️
