Welcome to the page of Blyth Cricket Club in Nottinghamshire. This year we will have girls teams for both softball and U11-13s hardball.

We are an inclusive club and welcome new players of any age, gender, ability or experience. For the 2024 season we will have a 1st and 2nd XI playing in the Bassetlaw & District Cricket League on Saturday afternoons and Women's XI, Women's Super 8s and Women's Soft Ball teams playing on Sundays in the East Midlands Women's Cricket League. We have junior softball for children ages 5-10, with 2 team

s in the Nottinghamshire Kwik League, an Under 13s hardball and an Under 11s hardball team playing in the Bassetlaw Junior Cricket League. Please contact our secretary Andy Carter ([email protected] or 07790 280990) if you are interested in becoming involved.

We are so sad share that Kathryn Dalton died on 10th March. Kathryn has been part of our club for almost 30 years, with stints as Secretary, Chair, Junior Coordinator, 1st, 2nd and Sunday XI Scorer, and much more. She has made a lasting impact on the club, and lived to see our now flourishing women's section, and to see juniors who first played for Blyth when she managed our junior teams now progressing into senior teams.

You are very welcome to join us for Kathryn's funeral, which will take place on Monday 30th March, with a 2pm service at Mattersey Church, followed by a cricket tea at Blyth CC.

During the 2025 season, Nick brought her down to the club most weekends to watch us play. We will miss you Kathryn, and our thoughts are with Jemima, Bartholomew (Tolly), Nick and all the family 🥦🏏xx

🏏🏆 Finals Day Bound… Again! 🏆🏏

Our Indoor Softball team have made it to County Finals Day for the second year running! 💪

The big day takes place this Saturday (21st March) at Trent Bridge, and after lifting the trophy last year, the team will be heading back looking to defend their county title.

What an amazing achievement! Well done ladies!

Happy International Women’s Day! 💜

Today we celebrate the dedication, determination and hard work of the amazing women and girls in our community — both on and off the pitch.

At Blyth CC, we’re proud to be breaking barriers and helping make cricket a game for everyone. From our growing range of women and girls teams to female players representing both our first and second Saturday teams, it’s inspiring to see the impact women are making across the club.

Here’s to the women and girls who play, support, volunteer, lead and inspire at Blyth CC and everywhere else. 🏏

……Throwback to a brilliant way to wrap up our Friday night junior training sessions over the summer!

We finished the season with a fun-filled Parents vs Kids cricket match, and what a night it was! 🏏🙌 It was fantastic to see so many families getting involved, having a laugh, and making memories together.

Our Story

This year (2020) we have a 1st XI in Division Two of the Bassetlaw & District Cricket League, and a 2nd XI in Division Six. In the East Midlands Women's Cricket League we have a Super 8s hardball team and a Soft Ball Team. We also have a Sunday friendly / development team.

At junior level we run hard and soft ball training on Friday nights throughout the season (ages 5-14). We have U11 and U13 teams in the Bassetlaw Junior League, as well as U9 and U11 softball teams. We also have a Women and Girls soft ball friendly team. We encourage juniors aged 13 upwards to transition into our Sunday & 2nd teams.

Membership of the club is open to anybody with an interest in the game, regardless of age, gender or ability, and we also welcome social members who enjoy watching the game at our picturesque North Nottinghamshire ground.
