So we’ve been a little quiet on the social media side lately but everything is still running like clock work behind the scenes. Mark is still in recovery, he came home a week gone Friday but ended up in WCH last Wednesday with an infection and a collection of fluid, he had a drain inserted into his stomach to drain it off and he came home yesterday. He’s back having the drain removed on Wednesday and is looking at being back down at the gym in the not too distant future, all going well, to oversee things.
We’ve actually also got a few exciting things going on behind the scenes too, once Mark is back we will be introducing a BJJ beginners class, as we are aware that people have an interest in starting their BJJ journey but with us having so many high grades now, it can be a bit off putting, coming in as a new starter. We will give out more info nearer the time.
We also have been given the great opportunity to have Peter Bleasdale come into the gym to teach Muay Thai, on a Private Session basis. He has been coming in to HFA for a little while now and wants to expand a bit more, to pass on his knowledge from his, over, 25yrs of coaching. We’ve had some great recommendations for him from students left on our Instagram page, head over there and have a read for yourself to see how inspirational he has been on his journey of coaching!
Our classes are all still running as normal thanks to Mark, Corky, Chris and the other lads with the BJJ, Jenna with the Karate, Paul with the Kids BJJ as well as our regular boxing coaches Dave and Johnny. We are very lucky to have such experienced students and coaches that can deliver the quality Mark demands. And we will be forever grateful for all that they have done for Mark and HFA, the support that he has had, well it could never be repaid. Once again we thank them and also the continued support from those that walk through our doors, week in, week out🙏 🥋🥊
