The Old Worcester Riding School Stables….

We are very excited to announce that we are now a loan livery yard.

As from next month we are launching our free loan horse and pony scheme.

The horses and ponies are all to be kept at the yard on either full or part livery.

All associate costs involved with keeping them are covered in the livery packages.

Livery is offered to those young people 8yrs to 18yrs and must be proficient and confident handling ponies, they must be able to mount and dismount independently, be able to check and change stirrups whilst mounted and girths, and also ride confidently in a secure environment. Video evidence of this will be asked for.

This is an exciting opportunity to really experience what horse and pony ownership is all about.

We are also launching a new saddle
Club for the liveries based on site.

We will no longer be licensed for riding lessons, so therefor we are no longer offering riding lessons.

We are all very excited about this new business direction as it will allow the ponies and horses on-site to build relationships and a real bond with their livery person. There are limited availability, and first opportunities will be offered to those young people who have ridden with WRS in the past.

We had a new arrival today……

Ok, so we had two!! They are so tiny they count for one…. Surely!!!

Meet Freddie and Womble, our two new sheep!

No doubt they will be causing havoc in no time at all!!

WRS update……..

All of those now on the Loan Livery package need to book online via the website - please no direct transfers as we need the paperwork completed.

Payment also needs to be completed by the first Saturday of the month to ensure the livery space on the yard - we cannot accept payment after this time scale.

We all had a lovely time at the weekend getting to know the new routine with some of the girls now having new loan liveries.

Here’s Charlotte - a student at Kingsleighs College with her new loan Livery Horse Queen.

Charlotte will also get to ride and look after Queen during her work experience days whilst at the college. Queen enjoyed being pampered and brushed at the weekend and this week will get a proper bath and pamper in the heated wash box.

WRS update…

We will be launching our new programme the middle of this week, with it rolling out the beginning of next month.

It’s a whole new facelift of WRS….

We will be having a new rebrand and a whole new business direction.

Very exciting times for the yard, and we are very excited to be sharing it all with everyone when the finer details have been finalised.

WRS introduction to riding course….

We are running a young riders introduction to riding course starting February 22nd for 6 weeks.

This course is ideal for children who have never ridden before or, are still on the leading rein.

During the sessions the children will also be taught how to mount correctly and check tack beforehand, they will also have the opportunity to groom the horses during the session. The sessions will take place in the school and if weather permits the final session will be a hack around the village lanes.

The sessions are and hour and 15 minutes long and on a Saturday morning.
