What an amazing day yesterday, I had the privilege of supporting Stella around her first ever half marathon and I’m so grateful that she let me.
It’s been a pipeline dream that she’s talked about for a few years in her massage appointments. I knew she was capable of it so I offered to write her a training plan and pace her round. We absolutely SMASHED IT, she wasn’t well leading up to it and picked up a tinny ni**le (we’ll sort that out this week) but we just approached it with respect and consistency until we crossed that that finish line. 🥇 🥇
For me, pacing Stella round was so much more fun, satisfying and enjoyable than going out to race my own race and try for a PB.
I love this run, I love supporting my clients and friends and watching people achieve things that I knew were possible, when they couldn’t always see it.
It’s my 4th time supporting others around this run and I’ll continue you to do it because it means the world to me!

Normandy Road trip with a quick stop off in the Loire Valley with

4 Campsites, 5 WWII museums visited, 1200 miles driven, 61 miles on the bike (double that for Jake), 116000 steps walked 1 Jeep ride and about 20 baguette’s consumed.

What a wonderful week with my boy, bring on the next adventure.

Please can we just take a minute to talk about how hard it is to train in the summer holidays?

As a single mum I usually fit my training into the school day (I feel super lucky to be able to go this), but I seem to forget every year that in the 6 weeks holiday there is no school….🤦🏼‍♀️. This is maybe my third run of the break, I’m so lucky that my mum will help out but I can’t put that on her all the time, it’s snatched moments in between clients or squeezing it in before I start work.

Running for me is my way to stay sane, manage my ADHD and keep everything else level, throw in small humans and lack of routine, it sometimes makes my head go crazy 🤯.

Anyway, to all the mums out there who feel like potatoes, like they aren’t making progress or are just desperate for a little bit of freedom that exercise gives you, I see you!

Mini get away ✅.

A wonderful few days with this pair, Crealy followed by Devon coast, lots of laughs and they even convinced me to go on the ‘big’ rides. No pressure, just letting them do the things they love and me following behind 😅.

Feeling super grateful, always.

This weekend didn’t turn out exactly as planned, I was hoping to have been sat here this evening, smugly with another ultra medal around my neck but it was just to hot for me so I didn’t even set out for the start. I did get to spend a lovely day yesterday with some family, and we all scrubbed up well, not a running shoe in sight.

I really listened to my own intuition and thought hard about what my advice to my patients would be…….there will be other years, for now I’m feel grateful for the wonderful day I had yesterday.

Second time at race to the dragon with , Happy Feet Flyers smashed it, we came 6th, 5 places up on last year ((we came last but we didn’t mind). A wonderful day full of friends, fun and getting a bit wet! Some days remind you, it doesn’t matter what you are doing but moving with friends is all the tonic you need. We also had the best support crew cheering us on, I feel like one lucky girl.

Hey 👋🏻

I just wanted to jump on and stay I’m still here!
I’ve taken a little break since the IOW ultra and honestly I think I’m still trying to recover.

Running/walking 69 miles (very nearly almost) wiped me out and made me not enjoy my running so much and I’m still struggling with that a little but over the last 6 weeks I’ve been doing all the other things I love, spending time with my favourite people, going on camper van adventures and keeping as consistent as I can with my running and strength. I managed to pop out a sub 54 min 10k, which I was over the moon about but I feel has set me back.

I’m meant to be hitting the trails in just under 4 weeks to take part in day 2 of Threshold Trail Series RTTS, the plan still is to turn up and have a go but I’ll decide before a bit closer to the time.

I’ve also been busily working, keeping the runners/ walkers/ office workers of Worcester mobile and injury free.

The pressure to balance everything some days feels like a lot but I am forever grateful for the life I lead and all of the people in it…….

Windy walk on the Malverns with my top walking buddy and Mr Major 🐶. Training is well back underway for the next ultra……. 50k, 5 weeks and counting. It’s take my legs a long while to catch up from the IOW.

10 miles under the belt yesterday and a hilly walk today, sleep time now 🤣.

I feel like I can come out from under my ultra rock for a few weeks.
