IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ ☀️
Ill try and keep it short and sweet! At the end of the month I’ll be closing the doors on Actively Stronger, for a few reasons that I’ll go on to explain. Although I will start by saying, the runners group will remain open for people to keep communicating with each other and offer each other support.
Just shy of 12 months ago I started a dog walking business (Four Paw Adventures) to fill a few hours in the day between my morning and evening personal training clients, here I am less than a year later working 40+ hours a week and making a full time living off it. I reduced my days down at the barn to two days after giving up evenings about 4 months ago as I was struggling to fit it all in. I’m getting frustrated with allocating time for clients and then they just don’t show up or cancel last minute, and at the moment my time is so precious and having to wait around for an hour or two for a client is really grinding my gears.
As a business we will close but I’ll leave the running group open, as you’ve built a really good supportive community here and there’s no reason to end that.
When I opened the doors with a small handful of people back in early 2017 I would never have imagined I’d be closing them, but here I am. It feels a little surreal but it’s important I prioritise what is going to work for me and my family in the long term, and not working evenings and weekends is a big greasy bonus.
Individually I can’t thank you enough, this small dream of mine in 2017 has gone further than I could have imagined. Your support, kindness and commitment has never gone unnoticed to a small business like myself.
Over the years we’ve had some incredible people join us so a big Thankyou to Tracey, Louise, Katie, Rosie, Kelly & Craig along side all the amazing volunteers who know exactly who you are! You’ve really impacted peoples lives and we will be forever grateful.
This feels a sad post but in reality it’s not, your commitment, hard work and friendship will continue.
Once again,
Forever grateful
