MONDAY MOTIVATION!

A great turnout tonight at Worcester City ABC HQ! 💪🔥

It’s the final week of training for Ryan Jones before he steps back into the ring on Saturday 12th September in Stoke for his 2nd professional fight! 🥊

For the past 12 years, Ryan has shown nothing but pure determination, dedication and commitment to the sport. He’s put everything into boxing and achieved a successful amateur career and a professional debut win but now it’s time for him to show everyone again what he can do under the big lights of professional boxing and he will not disappoint!🌟

The hard work is done. The sacrifices have been made. Now it’s time to finish camp strong and put it all together on fight night.

A fantastic piece of Worcester’s boxing history! 🥊

David Hallmark OBE sharing a great photo holding the framed picture with Michael Underwood MBE

We recently received a call from David Hallmark, who wanted to donate a framed picture to the boxing club that had belonged to his grandfather Ernest Rayer who was instrumental in organising boxing shows during the early part of last century! Naturally, we invited David down to the club, and today he visited us with this incredible piece of history.

The framed picture depicts The Spring & Langan Championship Fight, which took place at Worcester Racecourse in 1824, with an estimated 40,000 spectators attending to witness what became one of the most famous fights in Worcester’s history.

The fight lasted an incredible 77 rounds and over two hours, with Tom Spring eventually taking the victory — along with 300 gold sovereigns! 🏆💰

What a fantastic piece of Worcester’s boxing heritage to now have proudly displayed in our gym. It’s something our boxers, coaches and visitors can enjoy for many years to come.

A huge thank you to David Hallmark OBE for thinking of Worcester City ABC and for donating such a special piece of history. We really do appreciate it. ❤️🥊

Busy one tonight in the gym! 🥊🔥

It went from boxers working hard on their defence to half of them showing off some top dance moves well shadow boxing! SWIPE TO VIDEO 2! 🤣💃🕺

Great to see! These boxers train hard day in, day out, so it’s also brilliant to see them enjoying themselves and having a laugh as well.
