A massive well done to our very own Suri shah for being the first ever women to score 100 for Bassett!

Suri played in our wepl team v scoring 125* off 139 balls!

Suri showed great maturity with her batting and were so proud of how well she did 🩷💙

RWBCC SB welcomed BoA to first round of the cup. Unfortunately BoA had to concede the game as they were unable to fulfil a team, but both teams looked forward to playing some friendly cricket and RWB lent some players 🫶🏼
BoA opted to bat first, and everyone was given the opportunity to bowl an over. There was some spirited fielding with Kirsty taking the bails off with some quick reactions behind the stumps. Emily took a wicket during her over and the mother-daughter combination saw H take a short range catch off Charlotte’s bowl. Towards the tail end of the game the quicker bowlers were called up to slow the run rate, which they did. 🔥

The opening batters of Nic and Jen kept a steady run rate up and asked lots of questions of the fielders. The RWBCC SB squad are looking forward to the next round. 🩷💙

Great start to the Softball season with a win over Calne this evening.

After restricting the hosts to 121 for 5 from their 16 overs with some great bowling, we were able to post 138 for 6 from our 16 overs ensuring a net 12 run victory.

Notable performances from 14 year old debutant Lily Morse taking 2 wickets with ball and fellow 14 year old Nicola Schofield scoring 20 with the bat.

Our next Softball game is a 100 ball fixture on Friday against Bradford on Avon starting at 6pm, so come along for a watch 🏏🩷💙.

Great start to our 2025 WEPL campaign with victory away to Cheltenham.

A great all round performance with everyone playing their part with bat and ball.

Standout performances from Elise Haines and Holly Evans with the ball, taking 4 early wickets and putting us on the front foot, and great knocks from Jodie Bounds and Carys Shah to guide us home to a 6 wicket win.

Massive thank you to Cheltenham for being great hosts and congratulations to Emma Bowyer for a really well earned 63.

WE’RE INTO THE 3RD ROUND!

Fantastic all round performance yesterday with some amazing individual performances. Openers Rach Fenney (61) and Thea Hopkins (51*) both bringing up half centuries ensuring we posted a very strong score.

Jodie Bounds (2-12) made the breakthrough with the ball following some impressive striking from Radyr openers Lydia and Carmen Clements. The Royals bowlers showed great skill to keep the visitors at bay. Notable mention to 13 year old Ella Pitman who closed out the Radyr chase with some amazingly controlled bowling.

44 run win for the Royals and off to the next round!
