RWBSA AGM - Monday 16 March

Royal Wootton Bassett Sports Association will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Monday 16 March at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground.

The meeting will take place in the Paul Harrison Suite in the clubhouse, beginning at 8pm.

The meeting is open to all to attend, and attendance is actively encouraged as it is a chance to shape the future direction of the Sports Association, of which the Football Club is a member alongside the Cricket, Tennis, Running and Pétanque clubs.

The purpose of the Sports Association is to promote the amateur sports of football, cricket, tennis and running in the Royal Wootton Bassett area and encourage community participation in these activities.

Minutes of the previous AGM will be discussed, and officers for the upcoming twelve months will be elected.

A discussion will also be held on potential constitutional changes regarding individual members' rights.

If you wish to be considered for ANY of the Executive Committee positions, please complete a nomination form (available in reception) and leave with Claire Kirkup or email to [email protected] by Monday 2 March 2026.

If you have any items that you wish to be included in the Agenda, please notify the Secretary in writing at [email protected] by Monday 2 March.

We look forward to seeing as many people as possible at the meeting.

Sports Association Clubhouse Christmas opening hours

Opening hours will be as follows:—

Wednesday 24 December - Closed
Thursday 25 December - Closed
Friday 26 December - Closed
Saturday 27 December - Open 12-6pm
Sunday 28 December - Open 12-4pm
Monday 29 December - Open 6-10pm
Tuesday 30 December - Open 6-10pm
Wednesday 31 December - Closed
Thursday 1 January - Closed

Normal business hours will resume from Friday 2nd January.

Huge thanks go to all who continue to support the Sports Association, making use of the spacious, family-friendly clubhouse.

Capable of accommodating up to 150 people, the clubhouse facilities are available to hire at competitive prices (subject to use by the Sports Association's member clubs).

RWBSA: Notice on use of Gerard Buxton Sports Ground car park

RWBTFC members, members of opposition clubs and all other football club visitors are strongly reminded that they should neither park nor drop passengers off at the roundabout in the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground car park.

This follow a recent incident in which a child was collected on the roundabout and in close proximity to a moving vehicle.

The roundabout is strictly there to ensure traffic flow in the car park and is marked out with double yellow lines which must be respected.

Individuals who are parking, dropping off and even parking by the roundabout to watch sport being played are causing serious danger to others.

Anybody found to be doing this may become subject to a ban from the site.

For parking and drop off, RWBSA asks that visitors to the site please only use the marked parking bays.
