The second star of the series is the ultimate modern day event horse... Laura Collett’s ride London 52, aka Dan told by his amazing groom Tilly Hughes. ✨

Long before the Olympic golds and 5* victories, Dan was making his mark at Blenheim. In 2018, he won the prestigious 8 & 9 Year Old Championship, showing the talent that would go on to make him one of the sport’s all-time greats including taking home the individual Gold medal at last year’s Agria FEI Eventing European Champsionship! 🌟

We’re proud to showcase horses that have made Blenheim an important part of their journey – from Olympic champions to rising stars using our prestigious GFS Saddles 8 & 9-Year-Old class as the perfect springboard to the next stage of their careers.

First off is D.Day and his groom, Nellie.

A graduate of the Agria Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials GFS Saddles 8 & 9 Year Old Class, D.Day competed in the championship in both 2022 and 2023, using it as an important stepping stone in his career.

In 2023, Caroline Harris and D.Day were the standout British-bred combination in the 8 & 9 Year Old Championship, taking home the prestigious Elite Stallions Cup as the highest-placed British-bred horse in the class. 🏆🇬🇧

Since then, D.Day has gone on to become a two-time 5 winner*, with his most recent victory at Luhmühlen. 🌟

The Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) returns to Blenheim this September.

On Thursday 17 & Friday 18 September, the RoR Dressage Championship and Tattersalls RoR Showing Series Qualifier take centre stage, giving former racehorses the chance to shine at one of the UK's most prestigious equestrian events.
