Why Awareness Matters

You can’t change what you don’t notice.

Most people think they have a pretty good idea of what they’re eating. The reality? We’re usually way off.

Tracking creates awareness.

When you track your habits, you start to see patterns:
✅ Why your energy is low
✅ Why recovery feels poor
✅ Why progress has stalled
✅ Why some weeks feel great and others don’t

The goal isn’t to obsess over numbers. The goal is to gather information.

A food diary doesn’t change your nutrition. But awareness will allow you to make better decisions.

For the Nutrition Challenge, tracking isn’t about being perfect. It’s about paying attention. Because once you’re aware of your habits, you can start making small changes that add up to big results.

Awareness leads to action. Action leads to results. 📈💪

GAIN 1 POINT EACH DAY FOR:

✅ Protein
90g+ per day OR 4 portions of lean protein

✅ 7 servings of plants

✅ 7+ hours in bed

✅ Workout

✅ Mobility

✅ Water
2L+ per day

✅ Calories/macros (optional)

❌ Any takeaway meal

❌ Any alcohol

PROTEIN
If you’re not tracking food, lean proteins include:

* Fish & shellfish
* Chicken or turkey breast
* Pork tenderloin
* 5% beef or pork mince
* Greek yoghurt
* Cottage cheese
* Tofu & tempeh
* Beans & legumes

PLANTS
Fruit, vegetables, grains, beans, legumes, nuts and seeds all count.

MOBILITY
Warm ups in class count. Otherwise, complete 10+ minutes of stretching, mobility or pre-hab in your own time.

TAKEAWAYS
Use common sense please 😂
Yes, anything from Deliveroo or Just Eat counts.

ALCOHOL
No/low alcohol beer doesn’t count. Everything else does.
