Yesterday marked the last day of Summer Camp and what a fantastic week we have had!

I have enjoyed every session from tots to green ball.

Congratulations to the children who won a medal, but also to those who have made huge progress throughout the week.

Thank you to all the helpers and parents/carers who have brought the children each day.

Another fantastic day of camp, as Chris said today ‘This doesn’t feel like work!’

We had lots of fun and thank you to Sam, Hannah and Daniel for helping.

I think the last session had one of the most competitive games of Kings and Queens I have ever encountered!

So a busy day on court after the Boys match the Ladies’ first team played Horncastle. I think this was one of the best matches we have played all season. We took a win, however the quality of the tennis was really excellent. I would love to arrange some friendly matches with these ladies. 👌🎾

Level 3 - Awesome !! Now QUALIFIED as an LTA Level 3 Coach

It has been one of the steepest learning curves, but I am delighted to announce I have passed my Level 3 Tennis Coaching Qualification.

There are a number of people I need to thank:

Barry Chapman for encouraging me to do this in the first place and having more faith in me than I had in myself. Certain members of our committee and members at the club there are too many to mention, but you know who you are!

Inspire2coach who have taken me from Level 1-3. Richard Marklow and Mark Tennant, I can’t thank you enough for tailor making this to suit my needs.

I have been welcomed back to Warwick, so many times, to help me get to this stage and your online 24/7 webinars truly saved my sanity in lockdown. I will be back soon to do some courses with you and for some mentoring. Leyton, thank you so much for coming to steady my nerves on the day you are a real asset to Inspire2coach.

Many thanks also to Shirley and Karl Sutton from Horncastle Natalie Knights and Tracy Cardy from Bannatyne, Sarah Patton and Paul Singleton from Grantham Tennis Club & Gym and Guy and Jade from Billinghay Tennis Club for the on and off court support throughout this process.

I truly appreciate everything that you have done for me and I look forward to getting on court!

Congratulations to Ash who won the St. Andrew’s School Tennis trophy!

Thank you to Jemima for receiving the cup on behalf of her House. Well done to all the children who took part. We have had 2 Terms of Tennis, which I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching.

Good Luck to all the Year 6 Leavers and I hope to see some of you at Woodhall Spa Tennis Club!
