Hannah and I had a night away for her Birthday yesterday. We weren’t far from Peasenhall so I thought it would be nice to see one of my jobs from last year with the scaffolding down.
Absence from a job makes you forget all the tiny things that you are not happy with at the time. Not integral things just small aesthetic imperfections that as a thatcher get under your skin.
But seeing this one yesterday made me feel proud to have made that!

Job completed at the end of last year.

A converted windmill in Framingham, thatched with water reed with a long straw and sedge block patterned ridge.

Really enjoyed this one and the views of Framingham were lovely.

Keep meaning to get some drone shots to fully show it off but busy schedule keeps getting in the way!

Been working on this amazing cottage at Wantisden, set right in the heart of ‘Staverton Thicks’.
This place has a mad energy, it’s the largest area of ancient pollarded oaks in Europe dating back to the early 13th Century.

Thanks to the boys we got this done before Christmas, now for a well earned break! 😅🙌
