Hello gents !!
We are pleased to announce “MLS CASTING CUP 2024 6TH EDITION"
On: 07.07.2024 (Sunday) starting at 09:00am
Location: Sussex Casting Club ( Steyning , BN44 3PD )
Places available: 25

The competitors are automatically split into three categories based on the previous carp casting tournaments results and also other casting tournaments that some of you have attempted
PRO = 200+
ADVANCED = 180-200m
BEGINNER = 160-180m
SPOD (OPTIONAL)
(If you are new to casting tournaments and you khow you able to cast 190+ please let me know so you can be placed on the correct category)
Prizes for each category as follows
•1st place - trophies,medals + sponsor prizes
•2nd place - trophies , medals + sponsor prizes
•3rd place - trophies, medals + sponsor prizes
•Money prizes and sponsors to be confirmed•
Each competitor will cast :
- 4 casts on 6oz 170g (SPOD ROD) (average on best two counts)
- 4 casts on 4.5oz 128g(best two casts counts)
- 4 casts on 4oz 113g(best two casts counts)
•The average of the best two casts from SPOD CATEGORY will count ( this is optional and does not add together with the other categories)
•The average of the best two casts from 4.5oz & 4oz categories will be added together,divided by 2 and that will be the average that will count on the final ranking•
REGULATIONS:
-Carp rod 13ft = 3.96m (All commercialised carp rods permitted)
-Spod rod 13ft = 3.96m (Permitted only on spod rod category)
-Carp reel, fixed spool type (All commercialised carp reels permitted)
-The braided shock leader is permitted
-The official tournament leads will be supplied by the organiser (4oz,4.5oz,5oz)
-The official tournament line will be supplied by the organiser (0.255mm)
•IMPORTANT•
-The cast will be repeated only once if: the rod breaks,wind knots, the shock leader breaks
-Stepping over the starting line will result in the cast being cancelled and not be repeated
-OH (over head) technique permitted therefore if the lead touches the ground the cast will be cancelled and not to be repeated
Video camera in place at all times during the tournament
-All casts will be measured and scored by CRA (casting referees association)
