A week late but wow, what a season for the U10s 👏⚽

A year full of progress, character and some brilliant football from start to finish.

This season saw the team record our highest number of wins, goals scored and clean sheets since the group was formed — a massive credit to all the players and the work they’ve put in week after week.

Like every grassroots season, there were changes along the way. We welcomed a couple of new players into the squad who settled in brilliantly and became a big part of the team. We also said goodbye to a few players, including our goalkeeper after his third season with us. A top lad who’s been a huge part of the team’s journey and someone we wish all the best moving forward 👏🧤

The biggest positive has been seeing how much the players have developed individually and as a team. Confidence on the ball, work rate, teamwork and attitude have all stepped up massively throughout the season.

To finish the season on a 3-game winning streak was the perfect way to end it and gives the lads something big to build on going into next year 💪

Massive thank you to all the parents, supporters and everyone behind the scenes this season. Grassroots football doesn’t happen without you.

Big thanks to 8 Ball and Arrows Kidderminster for fitting us in after the big season finale! The kiddos got their chips and nuggets, and for the dads a few rounds of Killer!

Big. Big performance in the second half of our game yesterday! 💪💪

Yesterday saw our U10s entertain a very strong Drakes Broughton team who easily saw us off in the reverse fixture.

With a goal down within minutes and our Swans struggling to settle into the game we thought our run of form lately had started to get away from us.

Cue a second half of near excellence!

Passes, movement and defensive hard work all on show. We even saw our departing caption put on a show and help himself to a hat-trick!

Players playing in unusual positions looked natural and our training ground routines finally came into fruition - what a season finale it was.

With a few additional players to bed in over the next few months, we will be back hopefully pushing on from the progress we've made each season we've been together 💪

Manager's player of the match showed quality effort and was a hat-trick hero!

Parents' player of the match was this week's shot stopper, barely put a foot or hand wrong, with some strong saves and an assist!

Our U10s travelled to play Perdiswell Colts Eagles on Saturday.

It was a tough game last time out, with a result we didn't want. We set up slightly different today, with a few missing and a run of poor form forcing our hand.

A more disciplined approach at the back was the order from training, with that work carried forward into the pre-match warm up.

The game matched expectations with both sides pushing hard for the victory. Our Swans pushed forward well through our attackers quick feet and resilience.

The second half was much of the same, with our goalie pulling off a few saves and the defence being a brick wall. A late surging run from one of our forwards concluded a good day out for our young team.

We're on the home stretch now, with only two home games remaining for the season.

❤️ Our Swans in action

A chilly morning away to Malvern Hillsiders awaited our young swans, following last week's wanting performance, we asked them to go back to basics, we moved some players around and most importantly asked them to be brave and play with a smile...
What happened after that was a display of ruthless attacking play by everyone, defenders piling forward and a sweeper keeper playing on the halfway line, although the Hillsiders didn't make it easy for us but we kept pushing and it was quite possible the best performance the swans have produced, not just of the season but the 3 seasons we've been together!
Heads were high and smiles beaming.

Our U10s had a fixture reversal on the cards this weekend, with Wilden Village FC's pitch out of action we entertained them down at Mill Lane, and entertain we did.

It was the same old story, we started with a high pressing game with the Wilden keeper making some fantastic saves to keep us at bay.

Training has been excellent lately and it certainly showed on the pitch during the first half. Precision passing, tough tackling and maestro movement.

A few words of encouragement and a sub at half time and the Swans were let loose once more.

Unlike a few too many games this season we kept our heads well and truly in the game.

If the first half was a good show of strength the second half was a masterclass in football. Clinical in front of goal and solid at the back.

Coaches player of the match went to the whole group.

Parents player went to our silent assassin, playing in the heart of the team. Solid defensively and a massive threat on the edge of the opponents box.

Well done Swans!
