Final Pre‑Season Game – 05/09/2026 🔵🟡

Tomorrow’s a tough test for the boys, but that’s exactly what we want heading into the new season. They’ve worked incredibly hard on their fitness all summer, and Monday’s session showed just how sharp and focused they’re becoming 💪🔥

This game won’t be about the result — it’s about:
• Looking after the ball ⚽
• Being tough and stubborn in every duel 🧱
• Winning the ball back quickly ⚡
• Taking our chances when they come 🎯

A massive well done to the boys tonight — genuinely great to have them all back together. The effort, desire and intensity were absolutely fantastic from start to finish.

Everyone worked so hard and looked really fit and ready to go, even making our regular run look easy 💨

Great to welcome a new face into the group too. Huge well done to Oliver, who started this evening and did incredibly well.

Tonight we focused on:
• Keeping possession
• Breaking lines
• Reacting quickly to mistakes and misplaced passes

The boys took everything on brilliantly.
We finished with a game and the speed gun, with Jack S smashing top spot with a 43mph strike ⚽🔥

Me and Mitch also want to wish all the boys the very best of luck as they start secondary school this week. We had a quick chat about it tonight — they’ll be absolutely fine, and it’s something to embrace and look forward to 👍

We head into Saturday’s friendly against Hanham full of confidence. The boys look sharp, focused and ready to go.

Tidenham Capris u12's (Yr7 September) are on the lookout for some additional players as we get ready to play in Division A of the BRISTOL SATURDAY YOUTH LEAGUE in September. We train on Mondays at Marlwood School and do additional Futsal Training on Friday Evenings in Sedbury. Our Saturday home games will be a Tidenham Recreation Ground in Tutshill. The Capris produced a confident display and returned to winning ways against Lydney U11s.

Fast Start:
Tidenham set the tone early with their trademark attacking football. A brilliant through ball from Jack sent Noah clear, and he finished calmly into the corner for 1–0.

Midfield Control:
The midfield trio worked tirelessly — pressing, tracking back, and keeping possession with patience and maturity. The team showed real progress in their ability to manage the game.

Moment of Magic:
A stunning free kick from Aaron D***s sealed the win, struck perfectly from 15–20 yards into the top of the net.

Player of the Match:
⭐ Leo Stubbs – outstanding composure, vision, and ball control. His improvement in recent weeks has been superb and fully deserved recognition.

Final Thoughts:
A composed, disciplined performance built on teamwork and confidence.

Another great session by our boys this evening on what turned out to be another hot one. Never the less the boys work extremely hard. We went back to a few basics tonight working on some Ball Mastery excercises, receiving and passing on the back foot, bounce passing and receiving and some first time shooting. Massive well done boys, great work as usual 👏 👍 💪 CAPRIS
